Trip, I've been reading this forum/page since inception, as well as the other competing pages.... signed up this week, because I thought it would be fun. I have a pretty varied and extensive background in the sport etc, so I think I'll have some things to add here and there....plus, I'm a sarcastic bastard, so I might make you laugh from time to time....

Some complaining is fine, I agree with you...but, sometimes the stuff I read on here, it just seems like there are too many folk born without a sense of humor, and get too wound up about anything/everything.... Seriously though....it is hard for me to understand getting my panties in a knot over a couple of bucks a night, that's all....

If you need to complain about that, then ok. I just don't get it, and kind of feel bad for you.

Anyway....have fun tonight, and don't take any of this stuff too serious, or to heart.....

Best always, Z
I personally don't take any of this serious at all. The problem is when you get new guys popping up everyday. We don't know your character, sense of humor, or motive for posting here. Yeah, you may be a great guy, and will fit in fine. Just jumping right in and trying to be in the middle of it all looks bad. Guys get bounced and come back all the time under different names. So when you jump right in with the f word? Get it? It's all good on my end though. This is Vital and almost every topic get blown out of the water. Very rare is it that topics stay on topic.
I'm usually not home on Saturday night to listen to a race that will be on TV the following day..

peace

Really it's only about an hour of total racing. So yeah a dollar an hour isn't bad. 40 bucks though, just to hear it? Feld thinking it was a good idea to charge for it, guess we just got spoiled over the years.
I can't believe this many people have nothing better to do on a Saturday night than be in front of their computer for 3 hours listening to a webcast.

What time does the broadcast start 7:00pm local to where the race is held like usual? What time zone is Pheonix west coast time or are they 1 hour later?

Most profesional sports are live broadcast for free regionally if not nationally.

I just don't see how feld can make enough money off of charging to listen to a webcast to offset the good will they are losing.

is it expensive, no, will I be paying for it - HELL NO. It's a matter of principle to me. Just like I refused to pay to post at mototalk and was rewarded with the slacker moniker.

I tried to unsubscribe to the feld newsletter and the system wouldn't let me so I sent a polite email voicing my displeasure.

Paying for the nights I will be listening to. I tend to check out during middle of the season and I will be at Las Vegas.

The race is on TV tomorrow afternoon as well isnt it.

The thing is Trip, for some people, MX is the only sport that matters. So being able to listen to it live is awesome. And the fee, nominal. Don't forget the different time zones too....I'm in Canada right now, so Saturday nights are saved from total boredom by the audio cast.....If I was in Brazil, then I'd be like you, and likely miss it and need to find a torrent for Speed Channel the next day.

I truthfully enjoy the webcast more than the tv broadcast. There are other things I could be doing, but nothing I'd rather be doing (unless MotoGP was on).

...and in a bizarre twist of irony, I've clicked on the link about 2 dozen times and can't get the page to come up so I can purchase the season package.

$40 is juts too much in this economy... $20 is alot more reasonable thats for sure... but free is king!

I can already hear the uproar from everyone that paid to listen after the live audio feed craps out in the middle of the main tonight.

Compared to $60 to park overnight at millville it is a steal.

I think you guys are lucky to have a choice.
DSL is not offered where I live, so I can't get the live feed.
They also don't offer cable, so I can't watch speed tomorrow.
I don't have an actual mailing address, so the satellite guys won't come up either.
I will probably go to a friends house tomorrow and watch it.
But tonight I'll be right here reading Vital.....
Cuz, I don't have anything better to do on Sat. night than read about the races.

I would pay to watch the supercross live. But not to listen. This isn't the 90's anymore.

I just got tonight's race. Everything was easy signing up and paying and it's working fine - for the moment.

BTW - Canard went down hard in the whoops in heat 1. Sounded bad.

I'm paid for the series.

Nothing else to do here in the frozen north and I'm too old to go out picking up chicks now anyhow.

I paid for tonights race, to see for myself if it works with dial up.

I won't do this again.... It plays for a few seconds, then stops for a long time.
