I think they adressed a lot of the problems from the first one. Best game out to date on consoles for mx,
I think they have the scale and speed right. cornering is nearly perfect, just need ruts.

Love the customizing, I think they will add more PRO replica kits, I want Tim Gajser SHIFT kit.

Tracks are alot better this year, alothough the sand tracks need to be re done, Lommel is smoother thans a babys bum.
Sounds to be adressed urgently, think they were better last year.
Need to have 2 bangas!

Cornering is loads better, you actually can get into a rut or berm and seem to be able to rail it better.
you dont slow down as much when over jumping small jumps.

Things I dont like are:

jumping is still weird, like you cant lean forward or tap the brake to bring the front down. whips at least look better this year.
Needs to have more deformation on tracks.
Clutch needs to be more effective in the corners.

Good review. I havent played it yet but if Im reading everyone's responses so far......

1. Sounds like they tried fixing the air controls. It's improved, but not perfect?

2. Sounds like the sand tracks still suck. (or at least, when we say "suck" we mean, not on par with the rest of the game, such as the graphics which are VERY good in this series).

3. Sound is still horrible (by any standard).

4. I cant tell if the cornering is better or worse than before. IMO, they got the physics so good on MXGP1. There was a art to nailing a corner properly. This was the one area that didnt need fixing. Maybe they made it even better. But if they made it EASIER then it's a step backwards for the series.

5. AI sounds like it still isnt hard enough.

6. They added a clutch?

7. Still no deformation of the tracks. Bummer. This was Reflex's best feature. Lame that someone still hasnt brought it back. Ruts need to be a part of a game.

8. No way to control the nose of the bike in the air still? That blows. This was one of the biggest pet peeves I had of MXGP1

9. Did they address the track cutting issue during online play?

10. Customization looks WORLDS better. But it's not the most important thing. I wish they would focus on the physics.

11. Did they fix the starts? Is it random gate drop or still a stupid countdown?

Im waiting until it's available for download on the PS4 online store. Then I will gladly be buying this game. I hope it becomes available. I hate having to buy discs.

Does anyone know how to quit a season in career?

I started a second season with a factory ride on 250's and I'm wishing I would have just gone to a 450.

This game is super fun. Great game to this sit back and enjoy. The only changes I really would want is better sounds and to have the AI take multiple lines (they all ride the same lines every lap)

Pros:
Customisation, you can customise your rider the way you want it.
Career championship, you can choose to either run full weekends or just the race. Running full weekends makes it realistic and fun.
Bike setup, you can setup your bike for different kinds of tracks such as suspension and gearing.
Ground movement, riding corners feels really realistic and feels like your bike is going through ruts etc.
Tracks, the tracks look beautiful and are close to real life.
The whole championship thing is fun to ride for a factory team etc.

Cons:
Sounds, I just hate the fact that the sounds keep on going even if you're braking.
I wish there would be 40 riders at the gate instead of 22 to make it more difficult to get up front after a bad start.
AI, the AI all take the same lines as eachother and all ride that same line the entire race. It's easy to rail an outside or inside and pass 6 AI riders at once.
Air movement, i miss the feeling to bring down the nose of your bike in air. Also theres not really a way to seat bounce as far as I can tell.

Heres hoping they bring out a update for a few of the issues. I should be receiving the game in the next day or two from England.

I've been playing it for about a month now and it's an awesome game, I feel that mxgp 1.5 would be a more accurate title for it tho sadly, if you haven't played yet just imagine mxgp that looks way better and feels a bit better. I like it a lot 4/5 but don't bother with it if you're the type that has to do a twitch whip off every jump to have fun

Does it drive anyone else crazy how easy it is to get taken out, by the rider on the outside cutting down on you in a corner?

Yeah that kind of sucks. But if you let off the gas, you are less likely to fall. You just kind of bounce off the other rider. If you are on the gas you automatically go down.

It's funny, I always assumed it was easy to get taken out too, but my fault.
Coming from inside to out that is. 90% chance I'm going down when I'm going for an inside pass. The other 10% I'm just EDIT getting lucky lol

Drives me nuts. Lol. Has anyone switched their location from US to UK (or somewhere euro) and digitally downloaded the game, then switched back to US location. I did it with the demo and it works but wasn't sure if someone tried it with the full game

You should have gotten offers from both MXGP and MX2 teams after winning the championship. The team that you choose at that point dictates what class you'll race.

You should be able to do that. You'll need to buy a £ UK PSN card with enough to cover the cost because I don't think you can use a US billing address and credit card on a UK account. I could be wrong about that though.

Keep in mind that games downloaded digitally on PS4 can only be played by other users on the PS4 set as the "Primary PS4" for the game owner's account. In other words, if you create a UK PSN account on your PS4 and buy the game and then later get a secondary PS4 (for your bedroom, game room, etc.) the only user that can play that game on the secondary PS4 is the UK account that owns it. This is one reason why I prefer to buy games on Bluray vs digital.
