Any 2017 schedule rumors out there?

I got my Feld entertainment Detroit ticket group buy info for 2017 via email today, no mention of supercross. I assume it's off the schedule now- in previous years I have received a similar email around this time that had the Detroit race listed.

Will the new stadium in Minneapolis be ready for next year? Any returns to other venues being talked about in the pits? Back to Seattle or SLC, maybe?

I heard an announcement in the stadium at St. Louis that it would be back there in '17. I hadn't noticed that at many of the other venues, though I do wear some heavy-duty earplugs. Wink

If you believe one rumor, the series will end in Met Life Stadium next year, and not Vegas.

Apparently those east coast rounds are profitable! Thanks for responding. They usually announce the official schedule at the last round, right?

I am selfishly seriously excited if that is true. Pretty cool.

Although, I have to admit the Vegas crowd is tough to beat. MetLife feels empty compared to Vegas IMO.

Georgia Dome has the supercross race on their website for February 25. Looks like possibly the last event in the Dome.

GuyB, has there been any talk about the transition to the new Mercedes Dome in Atlanta after 17'? I heard (and this may be total BS) that the new dome will not be hosting any "dirt" events. Considering the new dome will have artificial turf, I doubt this is true, but it's got me wondering.

I will do some research, but I thought I have seen where they designed the seating to move back to make bigger floor space for events like supercross.

I don't understand the point of announcing it so late. Do they feel it will force ticket buyers to feel pressure to all buy at once?

Yeah, the SX series doesn’t start until the beginning of the year anyway, regardless of what coast it is.

Taking a world championship, world wide, can work. It probably sounds stupid for people who watch MLB and NFL and think that this are real 'World Series' and 'World Champs'.

But what I wanna say, When I talked with JGR Teammanager Jeremy Albrecht back in 2015 at Bercy/Lille Supercross, and I asked him if Feld was thinking about European Races he answered: 'We are talking about a lot of things to expand, European races like this one here in Lille is one of the discussions.'

But we all know that there is a big gap between putting the idea on the table and doing it. I will check if I still have the .mp3 file of the interview.
