Gate pick??

just wondering how Dungey, who had 9th gate pick managed to line up right next to Roczen (1st pick)? then he proceeds to holeshot again....I would think the 8 guys who picked ahead of him would have taken that prime gate.

But really wonder if they have done something to that 450 of his, or if he is really that consistently good now.

It's in that second to third shift area that he's pulling them and that's the area Tomac is getting dropped.....man I can see it all the way from Texas, what are these fools looking at.... Smile

Perhaps Kenny's idea of a gate pick is different to Ryan's ?

There isn't a gate with "best gate " stamped onit, wherever RD's gate pick is he always gets a good start he's just to damn good

And...where did Alessi start after winning the heat race and getting a prime pick? I looked for him on the broadcast when they showed Dungey and Roczen before the start and didn't see him anywhere.

He had the 10th gate pick in his heat and grabbed the holeshot. Probably lined up in the same spot.

they line up next to eachother more times than not, kinda insinuating that they pick the best spots.? I race, and watch a lot of racing...there usually is a Prime gate....this is why you try to qualify first. you know...

Watched an outdoor national race in the netherlands recently, and the riders had to go in double lines (not sure how you say that in english). Anyway, something like 10 riders had lined up in the 2nd line, before a rider who had like 40th gate pick saw that there was still a spot free on the first line.... Missed by the first guy to go in the 2nd line and all others just assumed there was no spot left at the first line. Guy had a top 10 start as well hahahaha

What I am saying is that not everyone's "prime gate " is the same. I agree that there is genuinely a good area which is obvious to see but some riders idea of a "prime gate" are differant than others.

All I know is when Dungey goes into the 1st corner in 8th and rides the inside to get the holeshot I'm like Daaamn! Dude can flat out corner on those flat out corners Wink
