World Championship? Where are the other rounds being held? Is it FIM sanctioned?

We have the World Series here in the USA, we can have 2-smoke World Championships too.

I deff' approve of 2 stroke championships ( if the discrimination against them isn't repealed). There is ,I believe a European 125cc championship running at some, if not all, the European rounds of the G.P.s.

And if parity is to be achieved I'd rather it be by by reducing the capacity of the 4 strokes not by upping the power of the 2's. After all, how sweet does a well ridden 125 sound? - takes a lot of skill too!

An entry list would be nice about now.

Are you saying that my World Vet Championship is not a "real" championship. I got a trophy and everything!!

me: Can I race my 450 there?
other: No!
me: Ok.. how about if i make it a 400?
other: nope it's for 2 strokes only.
me: So even if I make my 4 stroke competitive I cannot race it!! That's discrimination!!!
other: whatever you want to call it, we just don't want your 4 stroke, competitive or not.

I would love to go there and ride, but California is to long of a haul and out of budget for me.

Quote by Sleeter, from Proride...

"I'm in on the Orange crush 111, It should be a great time as I have heard Caselli, Dubach, Mirada and some other fast boys will be out there. Kurt will be hard to beat out at GH and dont count out the Dr. stinkin guy will get the holeshot and do his thing. Dubach is a legend!!!!"

So they go by regular Amateur scoring rules at the 2 stroke nats ? I always liked that scoring better... But at the ama outdoor nationals the 1-5 would beat the 4-2.. 41 pts for the 1-5 and 40 pts for the 4-2... Maybe that's why in Jess's photo report earlier she had Howell winning and Garrison 2nd overall.

The second moto was epic, while Hames had the field covered, the second place position seemed to change every lap.

It was a great day.............

MXA has the coverage up on their site.

Thanks Lumpy.

I got to fill a lifelong dream of mine at the race. I was able to line up next to the 1981 USGP winner and 1980 500cc National Champ .....Chuck Sun.

The second moto Chuck and I were gear for gear down the long fast Glen Helen start. I was side by side with Chuck up the Mt. Saint uphill and right on his tail as we jumped down the Mt. Saint Helen downhill. I thought I was going fast down the downhill til then and Chuck showed me why he was a National Champ and he pulled away rapidly from there on out.

And never saw him again until the end of the race in the pits.................

One of the best and fun days of racing I have ever had and I've been racing since 1977.

Check one off my "bucket list".
