Crazy stuff...but Ron is one hell of an honest guy!
If he had trained like Hannah how many championships do you think he would have won?
A friend from SD, had told me he partied with him on several occasions. Now I believe him, and about the others (MANY) he says he partied with...that were into the same shit.
My friend was pretty fast, but when he got into drugs he completely left everything Motorcycle.
Kinda' makes J-Law look like a Saint...huh ?
I still dig the Dogger, he is a great person today, and had the speed to kill them all, if he would have been in the same frame of mind.

Anyone know what race he said this at? " I'm Ron Lechien, 19, ridin' a kawasaki number 2".
For some reason I have always remembered that.
..and watching him and the Bomber on the same track at the same time...priceless.
Yep...Spring Creek/Milville it is. I've got quite a few photo's from that day.
Pit Row
and Sondra he looks like he's doing pretty good now and his life is still in progress. life is a journey and we all label parts of that journey as "good" or "bad", whether it's self labeling or describing other peoples issues. The journey is the important part IMHO and many times when you look back through all the labeled "bad" parts of that journey you realize that's what made you into who you are today. Then you crack a smile and then it doesn't seem so bad.
Ron was always cool to all the fans too and to this day I am still totally amazed about the time he bought that YZ in San Diego, Bevo put tires or something on it and he waxed the field that night, most of whom were on full bore factory exotica. afuckingmazing
We didn't mean to not give you the show you expected. We agonized a long time on how to lay out Ronnie's show and even worked with him on it. It would be hard to cover his great races but the championships that never materialized without getting into the cause of it.
The best part of his story is what he is like today and what a stand-up guy he was throughout his whole career. Different than a lot of those out there today.
Ronnie and whole Lechien family loved the show and contacted me about it thanking our crew for their hard work on it.
It's sad that we lost a viewer over one episode after the 19 others a lot of people seemed to enjoy and look forward to.
I hope others can rally your negative note to Speed with positive ones because this show is always on the bubble and it doesn't need any reason for them to say no more.
I don't think many would like it if it went away.
Hope you spend your time on all the other quality programming that is out there.
Best,
Todd
P.S. (sarcasm inserted here) We're working as we speak on another "expose" of another 6-time loser...Joel Robert...we'll keep your standards up.
Matthew
Keep up the good work Todd.
Message sent to Speed TV......
You said you've done 19 of these shows now? Awesome.
Is there a list any where that lists everyone you've shown?
Because if you've not done it yet, Doug Henry would make one hell of a show, IMO.
A smoke and a beer on the line means winning!
