So I came across this 2005 RM 250 for sale and I wanted to go at least check it out. It looked really good in the pics , but dirty. I went and checked it out and couldn't believe the condition this thing was in for a 2005. It's in better condition then my 06' RC replica I bought last year. I went to go look at the bike mostly out of curiosity and with a 50/50 chance of maybe picking it up if everything looked good. I spent about 20 mins checking every nut and bolt , for slop , anything and everything. There is no play in the rear end , footpegs are still tight , kick starter , shifter all still tight. Wheels completely strait and not ONE little nick in the fork tubes from being on a track. So I said screw it and bought it.

These things are hard to come by as they are anyways , and I just couldn't get myself to pass on this one. Didn't really need another RM250 , I just couldn't help myself.

Hey thanks you guys!!

I paid about the going rate for a good condition RM250 up here in the NW...$3500.00. I've looked at a few other's over the past 6 months but nothing that was a " Man i gotta buy this thing! " . This one though , i just couldn't pass this one over. Lots of potential with this one. I have no idea what the previous owner did with this thing , but whatever it was , it wasn't much.

It's completely stock except for the vforce reed cage. Pretty pumped that i was able to still find an RM250 this clean.

And Billy....the 450 will still happen , just delayed a little longer. Smile Sorry man , i couldn't help myself.

Well Barron i still want a new 450 , but it looks like I'll be 2 strokin' it a little longer than i planned. When you come out....we're hammering down on something with 2 wheels. Not sure which stroke just yet haha. Smile

I don't give a rip if we ride clapped out 1985 CR125s... As long as we have a good time like last summer!

Thats sweet. Cant believe you were able to come blacross a bike that looks that good from 2005, looks like it's hardly been ridden. Im currently in the process of going through my 2004 rm 125 that i picked up a couple months ago. Wish it wouldve been in that great of condition lol

Yes that's it Blue. They posted it just last night. I called very first thing this morning. About 2hrs later when i showed up they already had multiple calls on it. Known them a long time and they held it for me until i could check it out. If i would of passed on it...it would of been gone today for sure.

I got lucky on this one. Same as my 06' RC replica bike. Just kept my eyes peeled. They don't come around very often. Lots of clapped out ones out there...but the good ones are there if you stay patient.

I will for sure let you know when i can get there, shooting for last week of June or first week of July... Depending on work of course!

Just finished looking through the pictures... That is sweet and the price was awesome all things comsidered. I paid 3000 plus 400 shipping for my KX 2 years ago. I think you did really good on that deal Jeff... I really do!

Thanks Barron! I know i really didn't need another one but i couldn't resist bringing this home. It could of been bought by some logging road rider and stored in a barn....i couldn't let that happen haha! I consider it a rescue buy!

And when you figure out when you're coming over , let me know as early as you can because I'm taking those days off.

Shoot for a weekend in the middle Barron! More riding options!

Can't let a good bike slip thru your fingers-itis.

I did the same thing only with streetbikes.
Had a perfectly fine 2002 FZ1.
Then saw another one for sale that I just had to check out with cash in my pocket Grinning
