Reed didn't blow anything out of proportion it was the media like Emig and Shaheen and everyone else making a big spectacle of it. It was obvious he was hurt but not hurt bad enough that he still couldn't turn in 54 second lap times. Tough cookie for sure. Would of been easy to sit it out but he didn't. However, Lenny's right-he wasn't so hurt that he couldn't ride or otherwise he wouldn't have.

so are you saying that reed was well enough to ride so he did even though he was hurt bad or at least some but if reed was dead he wouldn't have raced unless of course if he did race while dead he would be a badass for sure but if he was dead he couldn't ride but if he did ride dead he wasn't really dead? is that what you guys are saying? got it...it's all clear now.

I've broken both my scapulas (shoulder blade) while roadracing. I couldn't imagine riding a motorcycle like that.

I couldn't put on my own shirt for weeks.

Guys, seriously-no one is dogging on Reed but if he was hurt to the point where he couldn't ride then he wouldn't of. Obviously, he was able to ride but not 100%. He was hurt but he was still able to ride and salvage points-how is that dogging on Reed?

If he would of broken something that wouldn't have allowed him to ride then he wouldn't have-plain and simple. He had a bad crash but he muscled through the pain and got some points but HE WAS STILL ABLE TO RIDE so his injury did not keep him from riding that night. What's so fucking hard to understand about that you fucking bozos.

This pretty much sum's it up. No one will really know the pain except Reed.....so why does it take two page's for a bunch of guy's to figure out "just how hurt he was"? He's alway's been a top 3 guy and he rode to what place?......That's pretty much how hurt he was.

Exactly...I was all shook up...I milked it for weeks !

Youth has a lot to do with how you ride with injuries.

30 years ago, I would have ridden against the pain. But today...air lift me the "F" out , and pump my veins full of morphine.
