That seems pretty harsh

every sport needs a bad ass. maybe we will get lucky and grant will try and take his head off at the e/w shootout and we will get a good fist fight. give you guys something else to debate about for a week.

He's a punk. That's all you need to know. Multiple fights, taking people out in practice, and multiple DUI's. If you all think this is "typical" behavior, then perhaps your parents didn't do a good job raising you. One day your favorite punk is going to be MIA because his dumbass is in jail for another DUI or street fight. I can tell you that one sqeaky clean rider from the south ( and a few well known co- horts) let Loretta Lynns cattle out of her pastures one night and caused THOUSANDS of dollars of damage....but it was covered up. They also destroyed one of the historical houses on her property.

I am in NO WAY condoning Jays behavior. Would have he been justified if someone walked up to him and got in his face and started with him? I dont know...we would first need to know from someone there what really happened right?

Trip, you seem to support the idea that a decent kid that is centered and does not get into trouble with the law is some how the bad guy... twisted logic? Maybe if it was you, your son or daughter that Jlaw decided to "have a little fun with" your take would change.

Again, i am not against him personally nor do i think he should be removed from the series for a while as has happened to some of our NASCAR friends, but to support or to justify his behaviour is is not socially acceptable either. Badass is fun to read about and makes for an interesting series but there comes a time when badass turns simply to bad for all those that the badass touches. You know, to much of a "bad" thing

I had always heard the year at Lorettas when they were going to ban golf carts because someone had ran over a older woman and never stopped, that Lawrence was involved with that.

I believe this was when he won a championship maybe, and Suzuki did a lot of ass kissing to keep him on the property.

Just a rumor that was going around that year.

I can't see him intentionally hurting someone for no reason. If someone walks up to me and starts saying all kinds of shit, then yes a fight will ensue, the same for most people I would assume. But I highly doubt he would run over an old lady with a golf cart for the hell of it and not stop to see if shes ok. Especially when you'll see him at local tracks stopping on top of jumps to warn other riders that someone is down, since there were no flaggers.

Jason puts himself out there as a big target, should he change? Start thanking God on the podium? He is who he is. Bad ass? Criminal? Bad seed? Misunderstood? Young and irresponsible? He may be a little of all those things.
