He misses key oppurtunities when his main competition falters. Tonight was one of those nights.

Two supercross wins this year don't mean jack squat?

I think the 27 3rds mean more

Kdub doesn't get enough wins and gets too many out-of-top-5's to win a championship. He's still great and he's really my favorite rider, but the points math just doesn't work for him.

Who cares? I guy that was considering retiring this year, and he's only like 18 points out of 1st after this many races?

10 years in the SX class and he only podiums?! Loser!!!

He hasn't finished out of the top five this season and won twice.

I'm speaking historically. This year, he's had too many low-top-fives so far. Basically, if you're really in the hunt for a championship, you have to put it on the podium every week. You can have 2 or 3 times that you don't make the podium, but not 5 or 6, which has historically been Kevin's problem. So far this year, he has three 5ths and one 4th in 11 rounds, so he's 7 for 11 on podiums; if that keeps up, he'll wind up with 6 non-podium finishes. That's probably not going to get it done, at least it won't be enough in most years. He's a great rider, but maybe not quite willing enough to hang it out on nights when he's not feeling it.

Keep in mind, too, that he's riding in a depleted field. If James, Langston and Tedesco (among others) were in there, some of those 5ths might turn into 7ths in a hurry.

Instead of going after a championship.... he's hoping it falls in his lap. Tonight was the night to gain huge points. I would assume most everyone on the track knew that Reed was sick... prime time to pounce, instead, KW wimpered and let a lites rider and rookie beat him to the top.

Oh yeah Kevin Windhams a total loser. Finishing on the podiums consistently sucks. Making up points on the points leader inconsistencies is totally retarded. You know what, the AMA should DQ K-DUB if he doesnt win actually. Its unfair to Reed hes gaining ground on him in the points. What an embarrassment to the sport!

GO K-DUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd love to see see some of you people go up to him at a race and ask him why hes not getting it done this year. geeez haha

Dude, your missing the point. Nobody is calling Kdub a loser. I'm was talking in terms of winning C'ships. RC was the master of taking full advantage of his competition when they had a bad night. Kdub needed to do that tonight and he did not! That's all.

uh, he is human, and he jsut got beat tonight. Sometimes you just aren't the fastest. he has been the most consistent rider this year BY FAR though.

Here is a novel idea....maybe he was going as fast as he could and the other guys were just a bit faster. Crazy I know but possible. Fools.

With guys like MC, RC, and JBS totally dominating the sport, people forget that championships used to won by riding all of the races and sometimes, the champ wasn't the fastest guy on a given night.
