With the weight of a 125 motor, I doubt that would have much effect at all.
The biggest thing would be to make sure the countershaft sprocket lines up with the rear sprocket correctly, the exhaust would fit, and the carb-to-airbox joint would fit. My bet, is not without a lot of modification.
I stuffed a 04' YZ250 motor into a 04' YZ125 frame with some cutting and welding. I'm still trying to determine if it handles better or not...
IT200 motor in YZ125 chassis ( RM sidepanels) for that extra touch of class.
