I've heard an crazy rumor about Justin Barcia. A little bird told me that an certain MXGP team is talking with JGR, about buying Justin Barcia out of his contract. Dunno if that is true. Anyone in US heard that rumor?

Just a business move......I actually like Barcia

Source? A little bird as a source isn't that convincing.

I would love to see him do the GPs.

This rumour is bs, it's been posted here before. He's still got another year (maybe 2 actually) with jgr

That would be awesome. There's too much too loose going over to do GP,s did RV more harm than good, he would need a good few seasons to crack it. I call BS anyway.

Same rumor that got thrown around late last year? I'll say no... His contract with JGR is big $$$... That wouldn't be cheap to buy out...

I believe Justin even responded to the rumor last year and said he wasn't interested (it was started by Geoff last time)...

I thought he always said: 'We will talk about the MXGP route after mine JGR contract'. And contracts have clauses, probably also about changing manufactures, oh and Monster is putting some big $$$ in the MXGP series, plus teams with Americans get nice benefits from the godfather.

well lets assume its true.. Yamaha have Febvre, JVH and Guillod in the wings, Honda has Paulin, Bobby & Gajser, Kawi has Desalle on a new long term deal , and Tixier.. only place that looks like its under performing is Suzuki, Stribos hasnt fired yet , neither has Townley.

KTM and Husky wouldnt touch him with a shitty stick.

Barcia to TM.. stamp it

Paulin his contract is up after 2016, stamp it. He can pack his bags because he's making more then AC222, but he isn't bringing what you would expect. Guillod has lost allot of support at Yamaha because of his break up with Standing Construct. His result till now are proving his previous team was probably wright that his training schedule wasn't up to the MXGP task. So will he be the third MXGP yamaha rider? I doubt it.

Suzuki? Strijbos will stay where he is, probably till the end of his career. Tonus will probably become his teammate. Stamp it too.

Oh and HRC and Monster Rinaldi has some deep pockets. But I know nothing, nothing at all.

I would love to race the MXGP series if it was possible. I love racing outside the USA. It's always stressful, but I'm pretty good under pressure.
Thanks.

i see Paulin at Suzuki next year imo . which i dont want to see , as i feel Paulin will never win a world title .

Justin has always seemed to do pretty good on the GP circuits (in the context of the MXDN), so he may surprise a few people if it ever happens. I should imagine that Paulin wants off the Honda at this point.

The TM factory that doesn't even have a team or rider in MXGP right now?

That factory is going to pony up the cash for an mxgp team AND to pay Barcia?

Suzuki is the only factory without a potential title contender. if there is any truth to this they would make most sense imo.

I heard a rumor that the 'Barcia Rumors' thread he created was the final straw in a long list of shitty forum behavior.

you bag Paulin on the Honda all the time, what makes you think he will do better on a bike that has a very similar layout to the Honda?

General public underestimates the massive pay cut he would have to take for this to ever happen. That's just one of a million reasons this is silly.

Honda has a reputation of not being very flexible on technical decisions and not all riders feel comfortable with that.
If I not wrong Barcia was one of them.
If Paulin walks away I suppose it would be for a similar reason.

Honda is a great bike look at bobby and tim on that bike at the moment . Paulin on the other hand ,has been terrible on that bike ,all last year and before he got injured this year . Maybe its not the bike but he was deff better on the Kawi . He has only had two great races for Honda . Kiwifan did you see him ride much on the kawi . I dont know if he would be better on a different brand ,for sure . But he can hardly be any worse . plus i really think Honda will be glad to get someone else too .

Unless Barcia is wanting to retire after next season and avoid supercross at all costs, then these two scenarios are very different. But I can't argue against crazy things happening, that is a very broad statement. Look at Caitlyn Jenner, for example. Crazy.

Yep and Honda letting Mitch and De Coster go. That is also crazy. Britney Spears shaving her hair bold, very crazy. But that dude with boobs is indeed the most absurd stuff haha!

Won't say a deal will happen with Barcia, it is just a rumor that is going around and around. And Justin is very good at Supercross but last two seasons got interrupted by injuries. If we look at his MX results he was, besides KRoc, the only one that could beat Dungey if I'm correct.

PS: Does Barcia makes the same as KRoc and Dungey. That would be absurd but it is possible, I mean it is also absurd that Paulin makes almost the same as AC222 but it happens.

I would bet that Barcia is 4th highest paid behind Dungey, Tomac and Roczen... in no particular order of those three. But soon to be joined by Cooper Webb.
