Ooh yeah downloading right now!

Funny is i don't even know which version i have, i guess the regular one.

There is a season pass DLC up.

I wonder which "historical" tracks they mean!

Either way, looks like it'll be a fun evening Cool

I've just been in to GAME in the UK where they have the case for MXGP2 on display on the shelves, but when I went up to try and buy it they told me it wasn't being released till tomorrow. We then had a back and forth argument for 10 minutes in which we both insinuated that the other had no idea what they were talking about, I even showed them the MXGP2 website, Twitter, Facebook to prove to them that today was the right day and they still weren't having any of it. They said they've been told the 8th and they can't sell it before then. Oh well, I guess I'll have to try again tomorrow Dizzy

Historical tracks? Namur? Oh god that would make this the best mainstream mx game of the history.

Btw, how big is the file on Steam? Im at work so i can't buy the game yet...

Almost 18gb in size.

Played it for a few. It's still a great game like MXGP but all of the issues I had with the first are still there. This seems like a BNG type update.

Fun but I think the prize point is way too high for what you get.

Anyone know if you buy a UK version if it would impact DLC or anything? I know the game would be fine but I could see there being a problem when trying to download DLC.

Wow, 1 post has just completely destroyed all my excitement for this game. That was my biggest fear. The same game with prettier graphics. Oh well. Maybe they will listen to us on the forth attempt.

Ok i have played this game now about 3 hours.
I think only grafics are better than MXGP1. Shitty game whit arcade physics and it is too easy again.
My first race whit no helps, manual gears, hard AI and easy win.
I´m glad that i pay it only 20€.

Don´t waste your money.

Just downloaded off the PlayStation store!

Initial thoughts, literally only some 2 laps on it.

Graphics good.

Presentation, menus etc better

Physics aren't great, but I'm hoping I will gel to them like I did with the old one. I don't think it will be as fun, bike is a lot less responsive and can't slide it as much. I don't think the racing will be as good, doesn't really feel like you can go balls out like the original using the right stick isn't really advantageous as the other one, offers less control.

Plus point is clutch, feels good although I haven't tried a start yet

The whips/scrubs are poor.

However they have got rid of the lag which was there after you land from a jump!

Looks like they have focused on apparel and bikes a lot more, I couldn't really care less, there's a lot of add ons on the store already

It worth a buy kiss because there isn't any Mx games out there, you have to support them in a way.

So they have made cornering worse? That was my favourite thing about MXGP lol

First thoughts, I would say yes. It just feels laggy, slow and un responsive. I liked how on the old one it was very nimble and flickable. You could pick different lines or change lines easily, however it's not as easy in the new one. The bike sounds are terrible. I'm really hoping I'll still be able to have decent racing online, I think with a few players should be possible. Bike sounds are terrible btw.

I'm just trying to figure out how to get on multiplayer or career mode it's locked out at the moment?

Just found out. Not sure if it's the same if you actually buy the disc, but it only downloads a small version at first which enables you to play lommel on time trial, whilst downloading the full game. So don't panic just a feature to let you play while you wait 6 hours for it to download!

My file is 12,3gb. well that is a 2½ hour download for me. I really need to get better internet for downloading modern games.

This was on their Facebook. Believe it's the track from Brazil a few years back.

Meh, that was disappointing. Beto Carrero is a good track but i expected a bit more than that.

But the good thing is that Milestones games are usually modifiable so there will probably be some user created content in the future on the PC platform.

Edit: 90% of the download done. I think i will play the whole night!

Was there a mod community for mxgp? One of my complaints about milestone is they seem to drop their games and immediately move on with little to no support after a release. so if there's folks modding these games point is in the direction where cause that would help a ton on replay ability on these mxgp games.

While I do agree there are some issues, I still think it's a pretty damn fun game. I'll be doing a full review fairly soon. (Early next week)

Stil no two strokes? Why didn't they just throw one in for us fanatics? Pretty sure many hoped ofr it, and the rest don't bother if there was one extra bike to choose from. Really don't get it? They don't want to piss of OEMs?

I don't think you'll be able to download the DLC if you import a copy from Europe and your system is linked to a US account.

Ever? Or just until the dlc is released in the US? I'm confused on this. I would import a copy in a heartbeat if I knew that the game would work fine and never have any issues. Idc about dlc being available right away
