From which bike did you get the NEDH needle?
Running a NEDJ 3rd clip here in Germany, and yes, it's a bit lean on the bottom...
Thanks Digger, I'll give my yellow dealer a call...
Is there anything you didn't like on the bike as it got more time on it? Just wondering if anything deteriorates badly or didn't hold up like you thought it would? Thanks
VERY noticeable gains.. tons of overrev and doesnt fall off like the 36. i honestly say i cant feel any loss in the bottom end either.
6.5 slide, 172 main, 3rd clip NECJ straight VP110. feel that it may be a tad rich up top but not super bad.
also did the shifter mod/fix. wow. latches in like a bear trap now. no way you could miss a shift or false neutral it after the mod.
i went back with Slavens Racing gasket and its a lot nicer but it didnt fit as well as i though it would. and since it is aluminized (alum backing) it kinks easy and is a pain to lay straight on the cases while trying to put side cover on.
if you have any other questions feel free to ask.
I think I will get everything ordered up. Appreciate the help.
I've been reading into the 300 kit and the 38mm carb replacement with the rm needle.
However can't seem to find much information on it over here in Australia, so wondering how it would go and if it would be compatible, since i've heard that the Euro and American models have some minor differences?
Spokes need an eye kept on them, sprocket bolts too. Not unusual to see KTM guys running one trick wheel–the rear, because the sprocket bolts pull out, destroy the hub.
Stock expansion chamber is prone to cracking, but most people change for a few more hp anyways. Apart from that, solid. Very solid.
Pit Row
Brakes are unreal, cnc billet trees, hubs are insane light weight, excel rims, bevel washer clutch/hydraulic, renthal bars, easy access filter (no tools), the axels are top notch, machined stem nut, no holes or fastners on shrouds to get dirt/mudd in or snag your pants, one bolt to take seat off and tank, rear brake lever on the inside of frame. I could go on and on how they are different from Jap bikes, but in a good way.
Motor rips and suspension like most needs customizing to your skill and riding.
Husky or KTM, go get one, you won't regret it.
What oil fuel mixture do you guys recommend? I run mogul 800 40:1.
Is there any special mixture to not blow my top end again?
Initial impressions were that it had a lot of low end grunt. I was able to run it on a taller hear coming out of corners. Didn't get to pin her down as much as I wanted cuz I'm still breaking her in.
