My kx450 just didn't quite have the horsepower I was looking for but fortunately this custom porting should get me the additional hp I am wanting.

Where did the screw come from? Drop in the box while the filter was off?

Another guy on here was saying if you try and soup up a '16 kxf450 engine while using the standard crank / bottom end - you will end up with a cracked piston or worse.

One of my buddies has a '13 KX450F, but he only runs the bike at mid/top part of the power.
When I ride that thing I chug it through the corners and rev it out on the straights. Every time I use the bottom end of the range it rattles and detonates. I think the aggressive coupler is just a little too much for the premium pump fuel around here.

He has probably around 100 hours on the bike so far without any major issues.

If I had one and ran pump fuel; I think my piston would look like yours.

That's the screw that goes on the opening for the chain tensioner assembly
