I am.

Well, if you saw Andrew's latest crash...LIVE on TV....you know he got HIT hard and had to be carried off of the track. He was Cut, Burned, Extremely "Bruised"...& ...worst of all...

Concussed.

This concussion was serious.

The kind of seriousness that brings in doctors and specialists and tests and....fear...

Well, guess what? VERY recently, I've heard that a specialist has told Andrew that things don't look "too bad" & he probably needs another "special exam" in a few weeks to see exactly how things are going (he didn't hear ANYTHING "GOOD" previously).

Here's the thing: getting Andrew back out on the bike seems have to been in question...THAT crushes me and literally breaks my heart. NO-ONE...I mean NO-ONE is more Moto than Andrew. Trust me...
No one.

So, this really is good news...whether it means he's back out there racing or not...I'm just STOKED to hear Good News about him and his over-all health. Would I LOVE to see him back out there? HELL YES!

But, most of all... I want him back...happy & healthy.

STOKED & Hopeful!

Manny

Wow, I knew it was pretty serious, but not to that level.

Glad they heard some "good" at least. Definitely be keeping Shorty and Family in the thoughts.

Shorty is a legend in my book!

I am and always will be a big A. Short fan! That is great news to hear Manny about his concussion and so forth.

Was his plan to do the nationals this year too , or just SX and then retire? Sure would be cool to see him do one more outdoor season.

Get well soon Andrew!

One last race at Thunder Valley and call it a career imo that would be the best way to go out and make all of us in Colorado extremely happy!

Im a huge fan of Andrew Short. I was so gutted for him when I saw that crash, and had no idea how bad it actually was until I read Manny's post up top of this thread. So glad that the news is better than it could have been...but as much as I'd love to see him finish the series and do the Outdoors before he retires, I sure wouldn't blame him if he decided to quite while he could still be the husband to Jacki and the Daddy to his kids that he wants to be. Moto isn't everything.

I wish him and Jacki the very best no matter what his decision.

His father in law has quite the selection of red rocketry in the stable but I understand Andrew has a few of his own. His wife also knows how to carve up a corner pretty well. Here she is keeping the teen phenom Kaitlyn Morrow honest at Diamond Don's.

Father in law "Subway Tom" leading Guy Cooper into turn two. Fast shit here...

Andrew just needs to come back out and take a freaking bow... personally I don't want to see the guy throw the leg over a bike again.... Has nothing to prove and all to lose. Been there done that.... his numbers are much better than most people understand... the only guys in front of Andrew short are the very elite..... Kind of there for James also. Very well said mr. Manny... there are still some great people involved in dirt biking.

Back in 1999 whilst working for FMF our Team manager phones and says that two kids are coming over to stay for a few weeks. (FMF hired a house for the crew in Lomita which was used when we weren't on the road.

It was Andrew and his buddy Beau.

After noting Andrews routine with eating, training and organising tests which we attended I had no doubt in my mind that he would end up successful in the future.

Hard work has paid off for Andrew and when he retires he will be happy and comfortable.

Always been a fan.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who isn't a fan of A.S.
There are riders that you just respect their talents but not as good people.
A.S. just seems to be the whole package, the kind of guy you want your
kids to look up to as a role model.
