Move over AC.

I think AC's time in the spot light will be over before it really started. Also on the homepage

Big jump. First one was so smooth. Second one, not so much. Was that in practice? I was watching the live stream all day and the track got rough!
I'm really digging Forkner on and off the track. He seems to be very level headed.
Roczen hit that in his heat also.

I still believe in AC.

He's had a rough time with injuries no doubt, but they've been bones. He can definitely bounce back, and everytime he's been out there, he's shown race winning speed or indeed won.

He's too determined not to sort it out.

I want him to do well as well, I just hope he doesn't turn into a Canard/Hahn situation. As much as I don't like hearing the Aldon Baker theories, it will be interesting to see how he rebounds with a new training regimen.

Please dont consider me a hater but I never saw the hype surrounding AC as the next RC....the kid was good on a mini bike and has been decent on a big bike but since they believed he was this super-human racer he was pulled away from really racing anything on the big bikes and locked away to ride & train with Aldon, RV etc....I thought he was going to be good but like I said above never saw this great promise I kept reading/hearing about. Yes he did win SX races in his rookie SX season but his outdoor rides have not been indicative of RC greatness.

His alarming amount of injuries and health issues does put much faith in me that he will live up to any hype at this point but im not writing him off. He needs finish a full season healthy and see where he stands because while he is sitting idle, all of his main competition he graduated into the pro ranks with have A LOT of experience under their belts, especially WEBB .........and kids like Forkner are going to replace him before he ever gets his pro career off the ground.

He won or got 2nd the first 4 sx races he entered.

That's special and better than what Webb did his first 4, and everyone thinks Webb is going to rule the world... AC is as good, easy, he just hasn't had the luck like Webb didn't when they were kids.

Like I said, they've been bone injuries and bizarrely salmonella poisoning... He can definitely come back from bones and be as good... ligaments it starts to wear, but every racer has a few broken limbs or shoulders in their past.

I'm sure you weren't trying to be malicious with it but why even bring AC into it, OP? It's a video of Forkner hucking a jump, AC and his career has nothing to do with it.

Teammates, AC's contract is up in 2017 i think and I think it'll be interesting to see how things play out with two hot amateur prospects on the same team.

Forkner looked good today but maybe not as good as hyped.

I think AC will still produce.

Decent? How many riders in the history of SX have won 3 of their first five races, and went P2 in the other two?
The only guy that had a start better than AC was Reed, and he had a lot more experience when he started the 2002 125 East season.

Not a good choice. That would lead to some serious arm pump. Test suspension and HGH if you are going that route....

Exactly. Davalos and AC tied for wins right? What active lights rider has a better win %?

Agree that he really needs a full season healthy though.

Maybe. People said the same thing about Travis Pastrana in '03. Championship winning rookie in 2000, done as a full time racer by mid 2003 at age 19. Never scored 1 point on a big bike outdoors.

And Canard won his first 3 races in 2008 and the title. Pourcel won 3 of his first 5 races.

I believe he dislocated his shoulder didn't he? Yes you can break off some bone but I am almost positive he had a labrum or rotator cuff tear, both of which are soft tissue. Has he had one or two shoulder surgeries? Also in a wrist fracture your run the risk of injuring soft tissue which can plauge you with pain long after fracture has healed.

Pastrana's injuries by then included multiple concussions, mulitple knee rebuilds, dislocated spine, shoulders and multiple breaks...

AC has two shoulder separations (due to genetics) and a couple broken limbs, no ligaments.

Worlds apart.
