Unfortunately this thread turned into a microcosm of the relationship between law enforcement, society, and blacks across much of our country.

We see white criminals as individuals who commit a crime, we see blacks as criminals.

NO, this is wrong. And a chicken shit way to look at it.

The reason you see the responses you are is because NONE of the fucking problems are addressed. The MAIN person who seems personally involved even stated he doesn't give a care about it either. Those are HIS words.
Ignoring the reality of it as the truly chicken shit thing to do. ......

Fastest way to get rid of this problem. End welfare food stamps and enforce drug laws. There money tree will end and disappear
Easy to say when you're a high roller like yourself, but when that's all you have, you're inviting people to do what they gotta do to survive...

Not fair at all but reality usually isn't.

The solution to the root of the problem isn't an easy fix.

I don't have a solution to their problem. Stolen bikes being number one in my book. Number two the safety issue of people riding wild in the streets. I don't see how they are thugs, they are street performers who get their thrill running from emasculated cops. Do I think that needs to stop? YES!

What is my solution? I just want to assert the sport of motocross into a place where it is getting a bad rap - a corrective measure. Asking everyone to sell their bikes to people outside the city, and buy legal bikes, register them, sticker them, all that crap, get them to join the track club, get them to change their lawless behavior ... how can I correct that???
My comment was really just a general remark on the dynamic of the situation there and not directed at you. Good luck with your endeavor.

It's disgusting and this thread should be wiped clean of the trash

So based on Page 9 of this illustrious thread, the consensus is you don't have anything for me.

Too racist.
Wrong forum.
Too much logic.

Okay. Got it. Thanks for your contribution to opening a new riding area. You can all be proud.

Bikes are a luxury item. No one needs them.

The people stealing them and riding them on public roads in the city aremt doing it because they love riding, its because they are rebeling against "polite society."

Rewarding them with a free riding area (that will also include free health insurance for wrecks) is just rewarding anti-social behavior. People get so blinded by the black/white aspect that they ONLY see "its the poor black man being opressed by the evil white man!"

Look at this situation for what it is- tons of peoples personal property is being stolen. That stolen property is being used in an illegal manner. And now we need to put up a free riding area so that stolen property can be ridden on tax payer money?

Seriously yall, what the fuck

This thread got moved to a more appropriate area. If you have something to contribute, cool.

If you chose to participate in a thread like this and toss around a lot of trash (verbal and otherwise), you may find that you're sitting on the sidelines now. I don't have much patience for the sort of nonsense you guys were showing here.

Thanks GuyB. If someone actually has some constructive input, you know how to reach me.

I thought I had a decent question, will the track be open to non residents (assuming everything goes through) I dont mind driving to Baltimore to ride, it's a little warmer then New York or New England in the winter months, plus everything closes up here

Have you ever seen a track that was closed to outsiders? I am sure it will be open if this happens.

Some tracks around here are not open to the public, you just can't show up and pay your fee and ride, while I appreciate you commenting on my question I would like to hear from MX council, so yes I have seen tracks closed to outsiders

If it's a "municipal" facility, then the standard procedure is for non-residents to pay higher usage fees like most municipal golf courses do. Most parks, at least around here, have different pricing for programs based on residency.

Tracks are usually a gray area. I know of an RC track on public park land that is technically open to the public, however it is only open during the hours that the local club chooses to be open and non-members pay a higher fee for running practices, etc.

If I were you, I'd be just as interested in the negative input as the positive. Anyone can get fluffed by the positive and you end up exercising nothing more than confirmation bias.

The negative gives you a chance to prepare responses to those points, so if you run into obstacles like that in your attempt to get your project approved, you have a better chance of overcoming them.

Uncle Tony, yes it will be open to the public. For me that is the whole point: it is public land, so it should be available to the public for use.

And negative comments are fine and I've learned a lot. But I did already go through this on my own site so I was completely prepared for the dumb stuff, just disappointed. My intention for going into explicit detail on VitalMX was to get MX professionals' input which didn't seem to manifest before getting sent to the dumbgeon.

Just want to reassert that this is not MY PROJECT: it is Baltimore City wishing to create some kind of task force to create a dirt bike park. At this point I'm merely testifying in public that we are prepared to plan, design, build and operate a motocross park as well as a wheelie attraction. It's up to the City to decide if they want us.

Yes APLMAN99 that's why I asked that question because they're tracks up here like that, thanks and MXcouncil thanks for the reply and good luck hope it goes well, but I know dealing with the city is never easy, the key word is patience
