Some more progress. The photo doesn't show the color of the frame correctly but in reality I think it's very close to all of the photos of the Bradshaw bike.

Hey, nice resto, looking good!

I just picked up a completely original 1993 YZ80 out here in CA, its basically brand new, only ridden by Mom around the campfire! No frame rub, no signs of crashing. Its mint! I also have a 1989, 1990 and 1991 KX80, as well as some other minis that are in similar shape, and from that era.

I am looking for OEM or OEM replica number plate decals (left side, right side, the decorative ones) for the 1993 YZ125. Let me know if anyone has any leads...tho it probably is worth its own thread....

Did Kae-Rae or EvoMX do the graphics? These look more accurate to the originals. I'm guessing Evo worked something out for you??

Hey Ryan, EvoMX did the graphics for me. They are good.

Love your Emig replica!

Well now that depends on which look your going for. This pic shows the shroud sponsors laid out the way K-Rae does them. The EvoMX graphics use the more common, procircuit logo off to the side of the "YZ," layout Wink

I did not want to hijack this thread, so I started a new one for some shots of my bikes. Check 'em out!

Hey guys! I just signed up, and I usually hang out at TT. I found this thread doing research on my 1993 project. I hope this isn't seen as a hijack, I am trying to contribute. I have seen some REALLY nice work here. I am not fully restoring my 1993 yet. I bought my 1993 yz250 first as a parts bike for my 1997 wr250. Once I got it home I didn't have the heart to chop it for parts. It was in pitiful condition needing literally everything. The bike was spray bombed blue (including the purple plastics) without any disassembly. I spent many hours with mineral spirits stripping it down to the factory PURPLE finish. This baffled me a bit so I double checked the VIN and it is a 1993 yz250. I have a spare 1994 yz250 sub frame as a spare, and the color is not the same as my 1993 frame. I think it is POSSIBLE that I have a factory 1993 frame (no other factory parts on the bike). I'll add pictures of my progress so far, and hope for some feedback on the frame color because that was my main reason for contributing here. I need to upload a side by side of the two, and will my next opportunity.

How I bought the bike

Stripping it down

Bare frame

Frame stripped of the blue

Long Rod engine in the frame

Hey QA. Man what a rebuild i have done the same to my 1993 YZ250 but the standard that you have achieved is mind blowing. I have spent quite a bit of money on my bike and have done all the work myself. Only things left to do is new rims and rebuild the rear shock. I have sourced a almost complete decal kit but am missing the front fork guard decal and have noticed in this picture that you seem to have a pretty immaculate one on the fork guard. Could I possibly get you to post a close up picture of the decal so i can get it made? It would be so appreciated
