My 1997 Yamaha wr250 came with a Mikuni vm38ss. Its a pretty horrible carb. I tried jetting out a 1/8th throttle sputter for two years and finally gave up. The best money spent is a Keihin pwk38as. It completely wakes up the bike, and jetting is so much easier.
