Is Roczen looking for a better bike or better money? I can not believe that riding 3 different brands in 3 years is good for confidence and results.

Some news and notes from Phoenix:
I’ve spoken with some people close to the situation and it overwhelmingly seems that Kenny Roczen’s going to leave RCH Suzuki at the end of the year and move either to Honda or back to KTM. With Dungey and Tomac sewed up, Roczen is the big fish for 2017 and beyond, and although I thought it would be a surprise to see Roczen back on orange, by all accounts any harsh feelings have thawed and KTM seems able to welcome him back. Part of the problem with Kenny and KTM before was the presence of Kenny’s father around the races (RCH can also attest to this), but it seems that Roczen’s broken away from his dad a bit, so that would open up a return to KTM.

Of course, we’ve seen HRC step up in recent years and try to end Honda’s 450SX title drought, so it’s not a surprise they’re in talks with Roczen. And still in the rumor department, we hear Roczen’s looking for a five year deal so no matter what color he chooses, he’ll be very rich and have a solid team for many years.

We had Roczen on the Pulpmx Show on Monday and asked him about all this, but again, demonstrating his smoothness, he just said he’s not worried about it, it will all work out and then asked US when he should have a deal done! Whether or not Roczen leaves RCH, we’ve heard that they’ve already inked a deal with two-time 250MX champion Jeremy Martin to make his move to 450’s on yellow. This is an interesting signing for sure and one that could fly under the radar a bit, but it could also be a very good move for Jeremy and the team.

Wasting valuable time if he's switching brands again look at villopoto had he jumped brands he wouldn't have had the success he had. It's hard enough winning when you are used to the bike under you scrapping it and starting over is just stupid. Tomac's chances at beating dungey where better on a Honda just like roczen's where on a ktm.

Yeah, remember how badly that worked out for RC? And for MC? And Reed?

Besides, you're saying Roczen's chances of beating Dungey were better when he was on a KTM, but at the same time saying it's a waste of time for him to switch back to KTM?

if he is leaving for honda i think he is going to do really well on it. it has a small flickable chassi and torquey engine (roczen doesn't rev much) i think he is the perfect fit for it, that said i dont know nothing about the 2017 honda.

Roczen will do fine on whatever brand of bike he rides. He has a ton of confidence and is gaining momentum, which are way more important things in MX than any slight differences between two brands of factory bikes. However it would be cool to see him stay on a Suzuki.

Roczen already signed with Honda. Just like Tomac did last year with Kawasaki early in the season. You will not see anything official until October. Its done guys, he will be riding red next year. not maybe, its a done deal. Yes, i do have inside info, but its not really a secret at this point just like tomac last year. Not going to give up my sorce, but he makes the main every week, so he would know. I know it sounds like bs when someone says they have a source. But I will back up my statement 100%.

Times are different RC and mc could have beat their competition on a bultaco at the time they switched brands the competition is to stiff to keep having to readjust to a new bike by the time he gets comfortable he'all be battling Austin forkner

Roczen is chasing a title, he clearly isn't 100% happy at RCH, It states above he will be at Honda full stop, so that stops the very unlikely KTM rumours.

I say good luck to him, and I sincerely hope it works out.

I just hope he finds whatever he's looking for and I hope tomac can figure out how to get his KX to ride more like his crf that he wanted off of so bad for some reason. All though it's gonna be hard for either one of them to take a title from dungey who never seems to miss a podium they damn sure should be putting up more of a fight then they have.
