Ryan stated in an interview, that he's not as limber as Marvin, and the heal clickers were difficult, and painful. He did not want to hurt himself (pull something) doing them. I like the fact that RD just rides the bike, no wasted movements. Focused on smooth & fast.

Ryans "attack" position on the bike reminds me of Glover.

Isn't he retiring at the end of 2016? Maybe it was Langston who mentioned that he would retire at the end of the year. If so, I wonder how much being married would play into that decision, i.e., pressure from his wife to start reporducing progeny and passing on his DNA.

I don't see him retiring anytime soon as long as he's winning titles and making it look fairly easy.

Fairly easy haha...Dungey is so smooth that he actually looks slow.
He's so smooth, he makes it look like a ten yr old girl could do it.
His style is so near perfect it looks like the bike is riding itself..
Im becoming a bigger and bigger fan..in fact Ryan Dungey is so awesome on so many levels.... I'd have to say he's proly my favorite guy out there.

Carmichael and Villopoto would have been an interesting and intense rivalry.

Outdoors on a 450, Carmichael would of beat Villo up until about 2006 until when Carmichael decided he was over it. He could hang it out slightly better, pull off the things like the Carmichael double, and corner better for sure. IMHO

It's also about being the most mistake free . You almost never see him bobble. Then again leading most of the laps comfortably doesn't get him much camera time.

Can he just sit on the starting line for a few seconds more after the gate drops. at least watch him work up through the pack before winning every race.

Sure, he's incredibly consistent, which is his main strength and what makes him so difficult to beat. But that's also the benefit of getting out front early. He can just ride his own race while all the guys behined him trip over each other and lose time.

I don't think it's surprising to see that the Dungey has started top 3 in four of the six rounds so far and he went on to win those. But the two rounds where he didn't get such good starts are the two races that he didn't win.

Start Pos
4 ---------- 2nd
3 ---------- Won
2 ---------- Won
1 ---------- Won
8 ---------- 2nd
1 ---------- Won

I think most people would probably agree that Roczen is Dungeys main rival this year, but Roczen has really struggled with his starts, so far only managing 17, 6, 9, 3, 1, 4.

One of the most eye catching riders of the series so far is Anderson, but his starts are even worse: 7, 9, 12, 11, 9, 8! Charging through from 7th to take the win at A1 was a bit of a one off, but he's not going to challenge for many more wins if he continues to start down around 10th.

Still the fastest guy out there right now imo . He starts inside the top 5 he'll win. Maybe the cards will fall into place this weekend to find out.

He probably is, but he's not decimating the field, which a few people seem to think. He's winning by 2, maybe 3 seconds. In 2014 RV sometimes won by over 8/9 seconds, in Seattle he won by 21 seconds.

No he's definitely not . But those 2 sec wins are also misleading . He usually has a bigger lead and cruises the last couple laps .

All calculated. If he needed to "pull the pin" and pull .3 a lap on 2nd place he could. But he does not need to.

I'm sure Decoster's driven that into his brain. Even Hannah's commented on it.

I'd like to see Anderson get a start with Dungey . That could get interesting.

I don't think anyone (for the most part) has anything bad to say about the dunge. He is awesome at his craft and its hard to criticize at all the way he handles himself. He is a great ambassador for the sport.

What I see is: it is getting like mcgraff, RC, RV were. Same person is almost unbeatable with no real battles for the lead, at least on a Consistent basis. That for me makes it somewhat boring (if you can call supercross boring). But... He deserves mad respect for what he is doing.
