Omg....it's his second race back from injury so there's obviously some rust from lack of prep. His first race back he landed on his repaired shoulder and missed a round again because of it. The guy was really good all of last year in SX and MX.

He was only able to win 3 main events from 2010 to 2014 in the 250 classes with a total of 16 podiums and never finished higher than 4th in the championship.

Please let him focus on the outdoors because that's where he can show his full potential.
not read all the replies but i think you need to look at the three wins and 16 podium and imagine it n your track record! then read your own question again.

Blake consistently quaifies and is inside the top 10 so no he doesnt need to quit sx in my opinion

Like it crusty_xx said, 5th in his rookie year is not so bad.
Blake is doing a helluvalot better than the guys finishing behind him that are SX vets...and still have factory support, even though they can't bust into the top-10 at any given event!

Yeah...BB should quit while he's ahead! Right. Whistling

"He was only able to win 3 main events from 2010 to 2014 in the 250 classes with a total of 16 podiums and never finished higher than 4th in the championship."

So then by that logic the question really is: Should you just stop posting?

I mean, I'm just saying.

I'm a "keep scrolling" guy, but felt the need to X2 this

The guy busted ass his entire life to race at this level, that's probably what he's going to keep doing

It has been clear for a long time that Blake would likely not be a podium level SX guy in the 450s. I think two of his 3 wins in SX on a 250 came from "fortunate circumstances". But to say he should quit SX...that is nuts. Also, guys improve. Look at WP....he was called a goon by many...and 5 years later he is a top 10 guy.

I understand your point. He looked absolutely terrible out there last night. In fact, I thought Baggett looked like an amateur.

Did anyone else watching the race have the same thoughts running through their mind while watching Baggett?

A Team Suzuki rider failing to make the main or transfer out of the LCQ did not look very good.

For most of the racers out there, one podium would be the highlight of their career. 3 main event wins and 16 podiums is above and beyond.

Following Stefan's line of thinking that's the logical conclusion.

Should you not go full retard?

Probably.

Hasn't stopped you though.

Top 5 last year. His biggest problem is that he's had some injury troubles in SX. His wrist problem will probably limit him from being as good as he could have been. He also is a little quirky in that even when he was amazing outdoors, early in the races he would get passed and stuff before suddenly finding like 3 seconds of speed 15 minutes in. Early race intensity is the key to SX

Of his four wins, one when he held off barcia and passed Ryan sipes the last lap in Dallas in 2010, his second win was when he dominated Daytona in 2011, third win came in the Las Vegas east main where he once again passed Ryan Sipes in 2011, went winless in 2012 and 2013( 2013 due to injury) and his fourth and final win in Daytona in 2014. He's not bad at supercross, he's just not going to Dungey, Tomac, and Roczen material indoors sadly.

A lot of those guys out there have to settle with far less. So no, he shouldn't quit racing SX.

So in 5 full years on a 250 you're impressed by three wins and 13 other podiums by a 250 MX champion?
Whats your opinion on Dean "potential" Wilson? Didnt Baggett top 5 overall in 450 sx last year? Thats small potatoes then, right?

Dallas 2010 most of the field crashed in the first corner. Blake qualified through the LCQ and was in prime position to avoid the carnage. 4 or 5 riders made it through. Sipes, Adams, Moss, and Blake in 4th, Barcia 5th. Sipes was not on the fastest pace that night. Yeah..Blake held off Barcia...but there were 6-7 other really fast guys that taken out in the fist corner. Go watch it. I would certainly call that win "Fortunate" with a capital F when 80% of the field gets collected at the first corner and you sneak through in 2nd from the outside gate.

Las Vegas in 2011, Barcia got the holeshot, Sipes 2nd, Bagget 3rd off the start. Barcia distances himself pretty quick, but then takes himself out losing the front in a corner all alone. After Sipes got the lead, Bagget got up on him and put some pressure on, but then Sipes pulled the lead back out. Bagget got him last lap. I would consider Barcia taking himself out with a 3s lead also "fortunate" for BB. Barcia finished 3rd, which was his worst placing that year.

Blakes other two Lites wins were both at Daytona, which due to the outsoorsy nature of that track, really suit BB. His finishes there have been much stronger than at other SX tracks.

Blake is just not a SX specialist.

Everyone needs to quit Supercross... 20 Outdoor Nationals that should maybe have a Canadian round or two...
It's time to put the tampons back in the purse & get back to some real racing... not this follow the leader bullshit...
Bagget will never be any good in supercross... With Out Good Starts... and everyone on this site knows it...
