Showa shock KXF450 problem

im doing my shock on my kxf450 2015 but how the hell do you get the flat cap that protects the shradervalve on the bladder cap off i see a circlip there but do not have any good luck getting the crclip out of there.

They don't have a schradder valve. The nitrogen is injected through the centre of the cap you are trying to remove. So you will have to release the nitrogen using a needle [the same one you use to fill it]. Then you can push the cap down to get at the circlip. It is a bitch to get out on these showa shocks as the cap only moves down a little.

ahh i see thank you karlz. are there any caps to buy that have a schrader valve insted anyone know ?

Better check the clearance on the bike. Part of the reason they went with the needle setup might be because there was not enough room for a schrader valve.

My -12 450 had the same system, but it had an rubber "plug" that was 5mm in diameter, pressed into the aluminum lid you want to take off. so I just punched it in, then you can press it in again after you have removed the bladder.

haha i tried hard enough to get the baldder in the roof and an oily face and messy workshop :D
