Oh no I'm 31!

I'm in the best shape of my life, but I've often heard it's much harder to stay fit after 30.

I just think Its unbelievable that RC can still ride at the level he does! He's definitely the GOAT!
He can ride. No doubt about that, but in business he can't see the big picture. He only worries about his own personal bottom line period!

That is a short sided argument. Is it OK to use sweat shops for higher profit margins? Where do you draw your moral line? To me selling your name to the "Road to Supercross" is the business equivalent of using a sweat shop. I guarantee RC does not believe ALL riders need to ride arenacross before being ready for SX. This is a money grab by RC and Feld.

Haha, I like to think I am open minded and am wrong quite a bit. It's nice chatting with other open minded people.

I'm gonna second that, the road to supercross is a sad one..

I agree... RC4 would complain about the lappers, now he's helping put some of them out there...

Just because he's a multi-national champion does not mean that he is a nice guy. In fact, I would assume the opposite. Nice guy's often do not end up being winners.

Frankly, I've always considered Carmichael to be a bit of a prick. Reed, too. But they are champions. They didn't get that way for being nice.

Nice guy(s)?... What in the 14 Hells are you talking about?... Ricky's Joke to Supercross was brought up & I responded...

IIf it really was a "stepping stone" to Supercross... you would have to podium 3 times in arena-cross to move on...

One year it was KDub(3rd), RC(1st), and Reedy(2nd) that were on the podium. After the race we went down to the tunnel to catch them before they got back to the pits. Kevin was super nice, and stopped said hello, yadi yada yada. Classic Windham. Reed was nice as well but more business like. I'll never forget Ricky, he had a little wax gatorade cup and set it down to sign my girlfriend (at the time) poster. A security guard on a golf kart was honking like crazy to tell him to move his stupid cup. The look RC gave the guy was too funny, I just started laughing and ricky turns back says a few choice words laughing. I was never the biggest RC fan steering the bandwagon but i respected the hell out of the guy. Every time I have spoke with him he has been pleasant.

So at 59 (I mean 40) you could still date a monster girl.
There's some happy folks right now.

Right on Zycki11. Lots of bunched up panties in this thread. Not sure if it's jealousy or just ticked off because he beat the stuffing out of their favorites. It doesn't matter why or, even that they do, dislike RC. I didn't like MC for a number of reasons including the two I mentioned. What matters is the scoreboard. RC's stats say that he OWNED motocross for 10 straight years. People talk about perfect seasons and yeah, that's incredibly impressive, but RC was UNDEFEATED in his outdoor career as far as titles go. Are you feeling that? NEVER lost an outdoor title. In the history of sports, any sport, has anyone dominated like that? Somebody look it up. Maybe some bowler or dart thrower managed to NEVER GET BEAT. HA! So yeah, 'some' people still want Ricky's name associated with their businesses. It'll pass. People will forget to mention RC. Maybe not in your lifetime but, sometime.

If ricky had the motivation and the physical capacity to still race and train at the level he was, he would be doing the same thing chad is doing.

He has other issues than being " burnt out. " which pushed him into retirement. He suffered from digestive issues and especially in the peak of his training with aldon, which for a normal guy who works a 9-5 and hangs out all night would make daily life aggravating. Yet alone someone operating at the physical levels he was day in and day out.

There should be no doubt in anyone's mind he wouldn't be on the same level as chad or better if he was still out there.

I disagree with this. On the track , RC was an aggressive , do or die competitor and he absolutely took no shit from anyone on the track. " Off the track "......there are a lot of people in the industry that would tell you the exact opposite. He is a genuinely nice guy. Actually very humble and respectful towards other riders and absolutely loved his fans.

People get into a business to make money. Especially if you have a family support. He could be on the beach every day of his life drinking margarita's and smoking cigars....but he's not. He decided to try and stay in the sport and help keep RCH afloat and get something new going in the RTSX. ( which he is just a part of that , there are others involved making more money at it than he is ) It has it's issues , but it's also new.

Some of you act like , since he's a former racer , that some how entitles you for him to come up and lick your boots. Because ya know.....he was a racer and people supported him. So now he owes everything and rest of his life to everyone on the planet that watched him race.

You must hate MC even more than RC, he is still hanging around the races earning $ and is older than RC and has been retired from racing longer too.

Whether there's any creedence or not, that'll go over like a fart in church. Bold strategy, Cotton.

Man this thread got blew up! I was just saying that its pretty awesome that he can still get out there, and lay down some fast laps for a guy that doesnt even compete anymore. As far as RC being greedy or a Butt I dont know. I know I have always been a fan of the little red headed chubby kid, Thats blowing down the field! Lol.
