Sheeesh........I don 't think James has ever been labeled a " quitter " before. In fact , I think he tends to usually push himself past comfort zones which a lot of guys simply won't do. You did a lot of speculating in your post. There are a couple other threads discussing this topic , but I haven't seen anyone post as many " Known facts " as you seem to have.

Haha.. Good times. Brain injuries should come with a sign on the forehead.. Go slam your head one good time then try and race at that level a few weeks later. See if you can do it for 20 laps without feeling the effects.

I'm guessing he's having issues processing the speed and functioning on the bike still (from the concussion). He got progressively sloppier as the race went on, definitely looked off.

Just maybe this will enlighten people on just how serious concussions are.

Cue the ignorant diehards that say he isn't suffering from symptoms if he passed the top-notch testing procedure that is in place...

That's a bit harsh. I once had a concussion where the symptoms didn't go away for two months. Give the guy a break. Things are probably a little hazy on the track.

All I know is, it takes more than 2 weeks to recover from a serious concusion. I was knocked out once from a parachute landing and I had a constant headache, sore neck and a weird "sleepy feeling" for over 3 weeks. By the way, a Sewart ridding at 100% does not get passed by Alessi in a supercross track. Just my 2 cents.

He's not a quitter, he just wasn't ready to come back. If you're racing in the 450 main at a SX you better be on the top of your game. If you've got blurred vision and things are happening too fast for you then you should not be out there, as simple as that. There was absolutely no point or reason for Stewart to stay out there. He clearly wasn't capable of riding at a half decent speed, he was just putting himself and others in danger

This is not the first time or second time or even third time he has quit during a race. I dont remember which ex national champion said it, it may have been Barnett and its a rough quote. " never pull off or quit no matter what place you are in because every time you pull off it gets easier to quit the next time"

He's not 12 he is in the twilight of his illustrious career. If he is still suffering from getting his bell rung he would be an asshole not to pull off.

Yeah, I agree now after reading the information. I was saying, it seems like he's pulling off a lot lately.

He didn't finish in Lille; Quote "The guys could see I was just struggling out there. I didn’t want to pull off so I just kept riding thinking maybe it would get better, but it just got worse. I came back in and we talked it over and I decided to pull back and let the wrist heal."

I've raced a lot myself, broke the collar bone over a 11 foot drop off. Just clipped my rear tire with Rich Taylor, we were riding Hannas track in Sun Valley Idaho with Hook Taylor & Randy Van Dyke. Blew my knee out at Hailey hare hound in a whoop section third gear wide open. Needless to say, I've had too many injuries to list. Yes, concussion twice. But, the only time I ever pulled off the track was after a crash. Never would go into a race, if I wasn't ready to ride. Anyhow, I appreciate the fact, you were civil about my post. Hats off to people that respect others and don't use foul language to reply. Have a good one! Matt

2014 Anaheim 2 RD3, Watch the race to get to know a little about your beloved James Stewart. He and his brother practice at their track, they stick their feet in the front wheel to mess with each other. He a Leo, well maybe that too much, ha ha. When you see it & know with your own eye, trust me. He took Villopoto out with his front boot. Reed saw him do it, coming the other direction. Reed's a good man, said bullshit and raced him down. Both on the Kawi's. Now, if you were there; maybe you know what happened? Is James a Quitter? Are you there, do you know him? HA! You have no clue who this is. No, I don't live in Montana. PEACE out!
