Fox 180 vs 360?

Can anyone speak to the quality difference between the Fox 180 and 360 pant? In looking for a new gear set. The 180 has the solid red/black design I am looking for but 360 has too much white. Concerned the 180 pant will be too cheap/poor quality. Anyone have any input?

Night and day difference in my opinion. My 2 cents... 360 line are the best pants on the market. Unmatched fit, quality, and durability. 180 is your run of the mill entry level pant. Low quality materials, average fit, etc. If cost is an issue, I'd recommend answer syncron. Can't beat fox 360 though if you're willing to pony up.

I just got a set of Alpinestars Techstar Factory (jersey, pants, gloves). Amazing quality. My advice though, buy one size higher in the pants. I wear a 32 in jeans and everything else, but had to buy a 34 in the Astars. The only weird thing is the short inseam.

Buy what you can afford & what you like. Its not a fashion show. For the average rider even lower end gear will hold up quite well. Leaving you some extra cash for disposables like fuel, oils, tires, bars or track fees etc. I only buy " premium " helmets and boots these days.

360 are much better, But the 180 hold ok. I buy 180 stuff for my son that out grows gear every 6 months. But he has slowed down growing so just bought some 360 for him. They have some 15 360 on clearance for great prices if they still have your size.

Can't stand 360...bulky, way too expensive. The 180 gear is way light, holds up the same and just feels better.

Money isn't the issue, it just sucks that all of Fox's high end gear has so much white in it. I get dirty and want my gear to stay nice for at least a few months.

If they had black and red seven I would get that but its red and white.

At this point 360 Shiv from last year looks to be my best bet. Ive never had Fox gear before.

Other brands out there. Being loyal to a single company that doesn't reward you necessarily for that loyalty is of no benefit. Many other brands match or rival their quality at the same pricepoints these days. Get weird with it. Try something new.

360 is easily worth the extra $$. The quality, fit and especially durability are amazing. The 180, not as much. You'll be replacing the 180's, or any other low end pant, at a much higher rate. This to me makes it worth the extra $&. I've tried the cheap stuff and always go back to the 360.

Fox is my "try something new"

I think Ill just order some left over 360 gear and try to stay clean...which we all know will not happen.

Try shift. The color ways are less aggressive and the gear is still made by Fox. To me....the 360 gear holds up a shitload better. Better quality/ thicker materials. The 180 gear has some cool designs but it does fall apart.

The only issue I have ever had with the 180 pants is I get exhaust burns (holes) on the right knee on occasion if I'm not careful. I don't know if that will happen with any other pants, it may happen with the 360s too.

Your fooling yourself if you don't think it's a fashion show, the entire industry is built on color, use of color, who can out design who...mixed in with other important criteria like quality, durability, pricing, distribution, availability, etc...

Fashion:
1. a popular trend, especially in styles of dress and ornament or manners of behavior.

I know, you manly men don't want to admit it, but, you are fashion plates. Wink

I've never had the 360 gear but the 180 is terrible IMO. Materials are crap, hardly any leather if at all in the knees, mine was torn up pretty good after 1 season.

I would go with the 360 gear. From what I've seen at the store it's of a much higher quality.
