Cycle Ranch is re-opening for a weekend, not sure if it is a permanent or just a weekend thing...BUT...

THIS IS HUGE!!!!! Highlands MX is making a full blown comeback! This track is receiving a full make-over from its previous owners and its going to be amazing! I think Dream Traxx is doing the building process, regardless it looks like its going to be great! only about 4 miles from work!

Looks pretty nice, couple of buddies and I drove down to the area and checked out Highlands and Rio Bravo a few years ago. Sweet dirt down that way!

We are very fortunate, I have some serious memories at these places...First Wins, first concussions, the friends I have met...It goes on and on. I was running around like a 10 year old shitting bricks with excitement.

Mosier Valley would be a better option. Ross Downs is covered with homes now.

Mosier was gnarly, but nothing, I mean NOTHING flowed like Lake Whitney. That track was so sick. The way it flowed (depending on how Shaun mapped it) was so amazing. We have had recent fortune but have suffered much loss as well.

Would love something near Plano. Anything decent in N. Texas is a bit of a haul.

I'm impressed. When I hit the Powerball tonight I'm going to centrally located in TEXISS near cycle Ranch and build a duplicate for myself.

Yes Whitney was the best. Sad that the land is used as a holding pen for exotic animals. LOL

I miss Thunder Mountain. Those hills, in Texas of all places. And I weighed 155 pounds back then. Maybe that's what I really miss...Laughing

Great news! I remember watching Derek Gerdes absolutely destroy the 125/250 A classes out there in 1999 and 2000. The dude was on another level. Too bad he went off the rails.

We are lucky to have both Highlands and Cycle Ranch returning. Can't wait to ride these facilities. Thanks to the owners for allowing us riders to enjoy mx heaven. Red dirt or black dirt ?

This!

I used to ride RR daily when I was in high school because it was 15 minutes to get there after school.

Unfortunately AT&T is building their corporate campus on the site.

AT&T employees need recreation, too Smile

I rode there as a very young kid as well. I thought it was great then, don't think I'd be too fond of it now! Baked black clay for days . . .
