Just looking online and Youtube, I'm not seeing new Supercross tracks, they look the same as MX vs ATV Supercross. Is this the case?

Was thinking of getting a PS4 just for this game but doesn't seem to be a distinct game so much as an updated version of the last one.

Any advice?

Can't speak for the console version, but on PC, "Encore" was simply an update. Updated physics, some new gear, and I think a couple of outdoor tracks. The new DLC they just released has several new SX tracks, the Stewart Compound, and some rehashed outdoor tracks from Alive. Again, speaking of the PC version, the Encore update saved the game. The physics are vastly improved, and multi-player mode is very stable.

^^Pretty much the same as Doc described.^^ The primary difference is physics/handling. It's a lot better, IMO. Then you have 2015 OEM bikes(as DLC) where Supercross had the same bikes as Alive, you have 2015 gear, rhythm racing, and the outdoor tracks from Alive.

It's a much better game than the old one. Better graphics, better physics, new gear, and bikes. You need the update that came out a few weeks ago though. Also dlc has 17 new sx tracks. So between the original tracks, dl sx tracks, nationals from Alive, new Rhythm racing, Stewart compound, etc, there is tons of riding. It's worth it. I always thought MXGP was better but after playing Encore for awhile it's hard to go back to MXGP. It's so slow and floaty. But I still like it, they are just very different.

These are the 5 new Straight Rhythm tracks from the DLC.
I have the PC version and a few days ago they released a whole bunch of stuff for it, Bikes (KTM / Husky), the Stewart Compound (3x mx track / 2x sx track / freeride) and 4x a SX track pack with 4 tracks, so 16 new sx tracks in total.

I've been enjoying the new DLC content allot, lots of guys i have on steam are non stop riding the JS compound track and we are all battle-ing for hotlaps on the leaderboards it's quite fun.

A negative point about all of this ... the DLC content is pretty expensive ... I bought the game for 30.00 Euro, and now paid a little over 50.00 euro for all the extra content. But i honestly don't care, i love mx games so it was worth it to me ...

I will probably get flamed for this but IMO this is the best MX/SX ever released for a console! Ive played every mx game on the market "except Simulator" and I agree with "mimafia" MXGP was hard to put down until Encore came out and now I cant seem to go back to MXGP way to floaty and slow paced. Encore is much more realistic of a feel for me personally. As a matter of fact I just sold my Xbox 360 which had only 3 games with it , Alive, Supercross, and Reflex. Sold them all to afford all the DLC I want for Encore!!!

Just my .02
