True. He got a start and was riding so composed. When he does that I instantly think W's and Championships. It looked like a high speed impact after his shoulder hit to his head, few of unconsciousness? Hopefully he can be back to normal in a few weeks. Don't rush it.....

Yep.. I'm much less interested in SX with #7 out of contention already. Wasn't necessarily intentional but Dungey had a great view of the two leaders and decided to clamp down on Stewart anyway.

Robbed like the hollywood shootout.

Pumped for anderson. But why would you dive bomb the inside on lap 2? Why?

That's allowed. Actually, it's permitted in all sports.

Didn't he finish 19th in round 1 in 2009 and ended up winning the championship? I'm keeping the faith. Totally bummed for him though, what a crappy way to come back to SX.

He didn't mean too, if you watch the replay he clips that single and it sends him higher up in the berm than he wanted.

Its 2016 now.
You're right. I had no expectation that he could make it a full season at the level needed to win a championship before the season even started. He's a threat for race wins, but not a championship.

That's BS man you are blind, hell if he hadn't clipped the single he would have hit him completely head on.

Stewart is as much to blame as Dungey, that's a pretty open corner to be cutting down that hard, that early. Just racing but Stewart was partially responsible for it happening as was Dungey.

People in his camp need to seriously evaluate James with some neuro specialists, he's hit his head WAY to many times at massive speed, rotational impacts, direct impacts, you name it...lucky he's been wearing some of the safer helmets on the market but you can only take so much of a continuous blow to the head. Real talk, I hope his camp has him seriously take a look at the future.

Just a racing incident....I'm more concerned with Bubba getting knocked out from a small crash. I thought he broke his leg when I saw him down. Looks like all those crashes and concussions have caught up to him.

Man, all I read on here is that Dungey isn't agressive, He waits to long, he wont pass people, he won't take chances. Now, one time he runs it in deep, gets himself caught out, blows the corner, and now he is the devil. I'm bummed for Bubba, but it is racing and shit happens. Just really glad to see James get up and not leave on a back board.

Dungey stated he was going to do what Stew was doing and Stew did a 180 on him, when he saw him, it was too late, he locked it up but could not avoid Stewy. You could tell Dungey was pale, he looked stressed when asked what happened. He looked very concerned for Stewart. These things happen. Nobody was trying to take anyone out. Not like Friese and Peick. Canard took out Dungey later in the race. Where's all the crying at? Dungey said Canard took him out, but "that's racing". Let's keep things in perspective, we all want to see James race 17 SX races to the best of his amazing ability. Racing is always better with JS& and CR22. When I saw the first practice video, I knew it would be a bumpy night, with that tight of a track.

So the rider in front is responsible for adjusting his line to not get TBoned? You can say it was a bad decision, or bad judgement by Stew...but to say it was 50% "his fault"..that is absurd. The rider in front has the line till he is not in front. That is racing.

I have a lot of experience with this,

I personally believe some of his attention deficit come from head trauma throughout his lifetime and that's why he has been prescribed medicines to help his focus.

Canard was almost PARALLEL to RD. RD was almost 90 degrees to Stew. A LOT different both in the intent of the passing rider, and the risk of injury to the rider in front.

As for James it pretty much blows his season. The only chance James had to be a championship contender was to finish the first 5-6 races in the top five as he got the bike dialed in, and got his speed back...then step it up later in the season as he gets in the groove. It looks like that is exactly what he was trying to do. He clearly did not have podium speed... He was riding smart and within himself...and it was just a bad racing deal.

Hope his brain is not too banged up...
