Here are the pro class qualifying results. The French contingent is looking strong. Hansen back in 7th. Interesting.

Lots of heavy hitters in that field. Good to see Brownie back racing again.

Can somebody explain the format?

I clicked SJK's link and in Practice 6 I see Hanny placed 6th, but had the fastest lap. Is the practice actually a race? Sort of a practice/qualifying type of deal for the night show?

What time does the actual racing start Pacific time America?

Thanks.

For practice results these seem to be button in right upper corner to show who finished first (podium) or times (stopwatch) Click that and you can see the the order you wish.

For races it looks like there is 4 heats ( 2 for each rider) and combined points of those determines who gets directly to the main and rest to LCQ

Racing begins in one hour 11 AM pacific

There is a fairly low maximum age cut off for the class, 21 if I remember right. I did look at entering and would have happily thrown out the cash to run the full season. There aren't many 21 year olds who can afford to run something like this, or many benefactors who would pay for it as I'm not going to throw cash at someone for no exposure or real benefit to their career.

It's really hard to give a shit when people can't watch it live. We can easily watch ADAC SX races but not races that are happening on our doorstep.

Are you telling me that they can only muster 5 riders aged 15 to 21 in the whole of the UK for this... i doubt any 21 year old funds his own racing these days.

That said ,its a lot of races in a short space of time, anyone who is doing EMX or anything high profile want want to risk injury or spend the $$

You're not wrong. My point was that there aren't many people willing to put the money in to it to support a rider under 21, if they had opened it up to riders over 21 then they would have had more people competing as they only way they'll get entries is people spending their own cash doing something different. Until there is more exposure, or really a point to it, then they'll struggle for entries.

If a rider I'd backed wins then what doors would it open for them? How would I benefit from it?

well you could say that about anything... IMO they fucked up dropping the AM classes, there are guys who would have put on a show , who arent up to the Pro Level.

So are you a rider or sponsor ?

Surely there must be something forcing Hanny to make the latest decisions other than sulking over the number 100.

How can you choose to run a short British series that will get him minimal PR over staying with Monster, appearing in Doonies plus any other Monster video and competing in THE most popular/visible SX series there is.

Unless he is easily sold to and some clever chap has sold him the Nut dream and promised he will become a member of the Royal family if he wins the British series?

Does he get appearance money? Say $5,000 per race plus prize money to do the British series?

I just pulled that 5k out of my ass btw. If he gets no appearance money at an ama sx and is getting tenth in 250sx...that cant be worth much.

Did he get dropped by Monster? The british AX series is sponsered by them no?Wheres Eric Johnson? He posts here sometimes. Maybe he can tell us what the deal with Monster and Hanny is.

Rider. Having an age cut off is stupid as there were probably more people like me who could have entered. Reject my entry if there are more entries than riders and my results aren't good enough. Don't preclude me, before I've even filled out the form, based on my age.

Well Hanny was 10th , got to 8th , Izoid was back there too but motored through to within 2 seconds of the lead, in 4th, looks like Brunnel had a pop at Ramette on the last lap and Soubeyras got by .

Ever get the feeling you made a bad career move? Hopefully it was a fluke but if he went over there and that is the outcome it's time to hang it up. That's not trying to bash the other riders but honestly, this in not GPs and he's not racing SX specialists. Which I think we can agree he is at this point.
