If we take off the "bro everything is going great and you are gonna kill it" hat, the odds are against him. I don't know what Jimmys goals are but lets say he has set a goal of top 5 in the standings. If he stays healthy and some riders get injuried sure, top 5 is possible in the east cost. I think top 10 in the standings is more realistic.

I feel like the format is a bit against Jimmy. The intensity is higher in the 250 class, less laps equaling less time to pass people and less time to wait for other riders to get tired/making mistakes.

But i hope that this works out! Jimmy is a great guy and i would love to see him even on a podium, i'm just a bit skeptical when an "older" guy drops down from 450s to 250s.

Maybe I am just letting his personality into my calculations but I think a healthy Top Jimmy is routinely in the top 5.

Yeah, his INTENSITY is the big question with Jimmy, and also his willingness to let it hang out. Surely he is working on his corner speed and sprints....and he obviously knows where he needs to alter his style a bit. I'll be expecting a more focused and serious Jimmy this season....whether or not that will work in his favor, remains to be seen. I'll be cheering for him and the team, definitely. I got him 6th in SX and 10th outdoors.

Jimmy is there for team exposure i don't think he's expected to be in the top 5. He's personality is top 5 and i think thats what the sponsors want.

Top 5 in points through consistency I think. I reckon he can be top 8 every week in Supercross. Is Jimmy doing 250 nationals too?

He never pointed out of the 250 class. Moved up to 450s on his own.

I thought Albertson raced more but he only has 8 250SX main events listed in the Racer X Vault from 2007-2009. The best was 5th at Daytona 2008. Jimmy was on TLD Honda in 2009 but must have got hurt early and only made the main at Seattle and Vegas.

Funny I only remember him riding a 450 privateer Honda in 08 then getting that factory Honda fill in ride for the nationals. Maybe my mind is slipping! Laughing

Yeah the SX track looking for .10's won't get him, it's the play/goon riding.

Half of the goon riders don't make it through the season.

He rode a Suzuki 250 during east coast SX and then started the nationals aboard a privateer CRF450. He got the Factory Honda fill in deal for the last 3 races and them promptly got hurt. Jimmy missed Millville and Southwick but came back for Steel City and finished 6th in his one race on the factory bike.

I think Jimmy will do well, how well? We saw last year that even a former winner can have problems with the youthful side of things. I expect jimbo to for sure be able to rock some top tens this season, and maybe he will surprise us on some nights. But I don't think making mains will be a problem.
