This puzzles me... What reason would KTM have to hold this bike back from last year... Looks like it's the same upgrades as the others got, still carburettor, probably an air fork, let's guess same engine changes...

So what would hold them back? Major warehouse leftovers? Some technical issue that didn't present in the others?

on the left side of the engine it looks like it might have an electronic power valve like the honda style?

Don't know mate, kinda looks pretty similar to what is on my mates 13 to be truthful, obviously hard to tell from those pics!

Just seems odd to me to revamp a whole range and leave one.... If they left all the two strokes or the XC models behind that'd make sense...

My theory is there was a serious problem with the bike late in the development cycle.

KTM isn't that big. They may have just been a day late and a dollar short. They are certainly busier now with Husqvarna than they were with the Husaberg side of things.

people, PLEASE stop trimming side plates! Seen guys do it on their YZ's for years and it drives me nuts, and looks so hokey!
