Can't afford that many bad races against a guy like Dungey. He killed it this year with consistency. (8) SX wins and (13) MX wins.

If everyone keeps making mistakes and crashing, going to be another repeat of 2015.

his progress is crazy. 6 months after double shoulder surgery and he is hittin them quads already.

this could be a epic sx season with so many top guys. i know we say it every year but there are 7+ guys that can win at any time. let's hope they all stay healthy.

I have feeling if Eli stays healthy.....well I'm not sure what's gonna happen. We may just be in for seeing some incredible speed / skill coming from that dude.

I know guys like Roczen , Dungey , ect will be fast as hell , but I think Eli is going to be the next step in evolution in this sport. If those first 5 moto's outdoors this year were any indication , were going to see some pretty rad stuff. I'm not sure how he'll do in SX ( I imagine pretty dang good )...but I think the outdoors is where he'll really be on a mission. Try to finish what he started this year. Damn he looks great on that Kawi !

Eli seems to be a little more of an outdoor specialist on the 450. Although he's been solid indoors, he's a monster outdoors. Hoping he can finish this outdoor season. I want this guy on our MXdN team this year (he would blow minds).

Part of if issue in SX was bike set up, and getting Eli feeling comfortable with the bike. Races where the bike was right...he was a rocket. Go watch the races he won. He was just as dominant as he was outdoors. Only Tomac and his close friends and family know how much the inconsistency in the bike factored into his decision to leave Honda...but I bet it was a factor. When he is on...he can crush Dungey. SX or MX. The question is can he over come the consistency issue to compete with a guy who's bad days are P3....

What I am really hoping to see is the races where both Stew and Tomac are dialed and flying..and watching them do battle while everyone else (including RD and KR) flounders 10-15 seconds behind them on the track. Not saying RD is not the favorite to win the title...but face it...on a single night...Tomac or Stew at their best are a level beyond RD at his best...a lot more exciting to watch too.

What I like about Eli is the simplicity of his riding. He just bashes everything harder than anyone else...and has the physical ability to stay pinned and not slow down. He OJs stuff...just hammers the track...and can ride "less efficiently" but faster than everyone else...and not blow up. Other riders could do a lot of what Tomac does...but after two laps their heart rates would be 200 and they would blow up.

Kawi plus the "Tomac's" appear to be a deadly combo. I can't wait to see what Eli can do on the green machine in 2016 and beyond.

What about the nights when Dungey is on and crushes Tomac by 15 seconds? Or when Kenny is on and crushes Dungey and Tomac by 15 seconds? I think that when all these guys are on their A game it comes down to their start. Tomac showed amazing speed outdoors, but indoors he looked much more human......let's not forget that he finds the dirt from time to time.

I think ET has a very goon like style...Stewart, Kenny, Anderson, and Barcia are the style cats...

Said this at the beginning of the outdoors. "IF" Eli keeps the rubber side down, I think this season will be a snoozer. Haven't seen this type of aggression and raw speed since Ricky. Imo the class of the field... By far. I'll go 10 wins

How many 450 titles does dungey have? Stewart? In how many years?

Wow... Forgot how fast he was on that bike. No denying JS7 was the absolute best 125cc rider/racer the world has ever seen.

Doubt I will ever see anything comparable to that again, in my lifetime.

I am more impressed by the single performance that is at the limits of human performance than the 17 95th percentile performances that statistically are more likely to win a championship. To each his own.

True, but i think team managers and factories, pay top guys. for titles. Not 1 good race. and dnf a series.

That's some amazing consistency right there. He failed to make the podium one time all supercross, the very first race. Then out doors he missed the podium twice. Once at budds which was a mud race and glen Helen with electrical issues with his bike. Gonna be hard to beat that kind of finisher. I'm a Tomac fan but it's hard not to put money on RD5

Hmm. I remember when they said RV was really an outdoors rider as opposed to SX and just was not very good at starts right off the bat and might struggle. He did OK, right? I guess we all shall see what the Alien can do in 2016. But if I were a betting man, I will take the Alien with amazing speed who just needs to take it down a little, rather than one who needs to find it. Even Bob Hannah (Mr. Irrelevant ) could not help but mention Tomac and what can happen when Tomac throttles it back and decides to win only by a few seconds and not 15. RD is a true champion indeed, but when an "RV"(or RC ) comes along, all his consistency does what? I am not saying Eli is an RC or RV dominant wise just yet....but he has shown a glimpse that he has it.

one thing is for sure eli is very good at: getting in peoples head by just crushing them and acting like it not a big deal. he has roczen covered in that aspect and i can see him doing the same to dungey just as rv did.

You can hit quads at the milestone sx tracks all day long, but that doesn't get you 25 points. Dungey is still the favorite.

Let's say Dungey doesn't win as many races in 2016 as in 2015 but keeps the absolutely insane consistency from 2015, who will beat him? Tomac and Roczen really needs to minimize the bad days because Dungeys bad day is a 5th or a 4th. And the bad days doesn't come often.

Dungey decided to move to sidecarcross. As a rider. His passenger will be 2x World Champion Kaspars Stupelis. Roger will be trainer-manager.
Here is a proof. This picture was taken today in Jerez, Spain where they already training.
