Davalos is a very good 250 supercross racer.

Anyone who doesn't think so hasn't been paying attention.

He is a very good practice rider.

My logic is I'm getting sick of people putting riders down and saying they're all crap if they aren't winning. According to the logic of many around here, if you're not getting better than about fifth, you must be trash, a waste of talent, and should be thrown to the wolves. This industry, and the fans mostly, have such a one-way street push them off a cliff way of thought at times... It's ridiculous! DJ, you fit right in with Grayson, negative about riders on the forum in almost every post.

the dude has been around for 10 years. In the same class. Where is his championship. Davalos' time has came and gone a very long time ago. It just amazes me people still pay him big chunks of money to win heat races. When up and coming kids that RIIIIP can't get a ride because dudes like davalos take up a spot.
I think the mere fact that Davalos is currently under, not just a professional contract, but a professional, factory/satellite contract dispels the notion that his time has "came and gone". You may not like it, but Davalos is in the thick of it, and is expected to, and capable of winning, not only heats and main events, but the championship of whatever coast he contends. No?

As far as I know Fredrik Norén still isn't signed. Going to race 250W.

Good to see Tommy Hahn with a ride this early. Hope the kid gets on some equipment he likes.

Isn't Albertson on his own Yamaha team deal with Goerke?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Reed on yellow---RCH or otherwise. I would be surprised if Davalos gives a shit what anyone else thinks---its HIS career...

I've seen him win mains and lead the East SX points in '14.
I've seen him struggle thru '15.
I still see the speed and constant "fastest lap" capability.

Husky needs to put him on a 350 sometime during the West and then unleash him on a 250 in the East.

Hahn signed with Rockwell, Chisholm doing Team Chiz, Albertson doing his own thing, Grant is riding Suzuki's at the moment (but not signed), and Noren is unsigned.

I assume Wey will be with Mafia MC if he races. I also expect for Noren to go back to Crossland since Honda likes him so much. (Unless something happened to Crossland)

Top Jimmy must have some big-buck private sponsors chipping in for him to "do his own thing", and do it at a factory-competitive level. Wonder if Yamaha is giving him machinery?

Well, that's what it looks like he is doing as of now.

He recently created this Instagram account:
https://instagram.com/a_e_racing/

And it looks like Yamaha will still be supporting him. Not sure about any other big name sponsors, though.

I've always like Davalos, but now I really want him to win a championship just to piss on all the upstanding moto fans in this thread.
