Money talks and bullshit walks. After his MXDN ride while admittedly being under prepared, how could anyone question it if he received an offer he couldn't refuse? His current gig seems like it would be a hard one to give up, but leaving money on the table is a hard thing to do, especially when your speed is still there. This development would've had to be pretty recent, because Ben was representing HRC at the Japan National last weekend.

Personally I thought Shaun Simpson would end up there. Can't imagine his asking price was to steep, but it's great to see him get increased support on KTMs.

It's going to be Keeno9.
Seriously?

I don't dislike the guy and I know he's been injured a lot, but how does he keep getting these factory rides year after year? His shipped sailed a long time ago.

He was third in the championship in 2013 so he can definitely ride a dirtbike... I'm sure he will be in the top 5 of the championship again if he can stay fit for one whole season.

I'm pretty sure he's ridden a Honda for 7 of the last 8 years. I don't know about you but I'd say he seems to like the red machines!

Yeah, just like MC would never leave Honda after he retired... oh.. wait.

Didn't he just get a job this fall at HRC as a development guy?

I never said Townley wouldn't leave them but you can't deny that he's a 'Honda guy' at the moment.

I'm sure MCs decision was heavily influenced by money anyway.

Ship has sailed? Well I bet the rest of the riders at the MXON feel pretty damm embarrassed except four of them. I just checked the overall classifacation points for that event.

He went 24 - 9 for 8th overall in the MXGP class.

Don't get me wrong, on his day he can very good. But he is very erratic and his good days are few and far between.

Id love for it to be true but didn't he say after Glen Helen he was laid up in bed for a week or more because his hip was in so much pain? That cant be be good for training/riding throughout a season.

I'd call that as close to a official confirmation you'll get without a press release Smile , awesome news for BT Scotty, great stuff.

Heard this rumour a couple months ago.... Thought it was too good to be true!

Go BT ! Back to a Suzuki , maybe a Phase retro kit for the opening round.....

He went 6 - 2 which gave him 3rd in MXGP class on 8 points.

Only 4 other riders at the MXON received less than 8 points in their 2 races.

Speed is there to be up front in a title chase.

he went 6-2 for 3rd overall, at the MXoN

and 11-DNF at the US GP in the heat after coming out of a southern hemisphere winter,

when he finishes championships hes very rarely been out of the top 5,
