Here in Spain all chanels tells you how dangerous the "kick" that Rossi threw was, how little he was punished and what a big danger MM was in due to Valentino's kick.... But no mention at all about how MM has been playing dirty in a war he had no bussines, neither the support that Valentino is having from the paddock and from past racers.
Then they show Lorenzo expressing how dissapointed he is with the little penalty that Rossi got, and no mention at all to the clean victory of Pedrosa.
I usually likes Marquez and do not really care for VR but it is just wrong
So what I get from this all is.... do not complay about journalism in the USA moto scene.... seems like it is not that bad

Too hard racing for a guy that is not in the title fight anymore and that is known to crash a lot.
Rossi didn't try to take him out either (he's not dumb, he knows the rulebook), the only difference is that Marquez stayed on the gas and crashed into Rossi and went down (pretty much on his own fault IMO)
Does anyone else find that absolutely baffling? That race direction can penalise riders for not taking the racing line? It seems that the men in suits are trying to control too much of the racing. They are reaching beyond their grasp in my opinion, and it is sad.
Another thing I found laughable was Jorge's nonsense in the press conference. He starts off with "it doesn't enter into my head to do these kind of things, never in my life" about Rossi's manoeuvre, like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth... And then says "in 2005, I make something similar... and they took me one race of penalisation". Combined with his incredibly childish and spoilt attitude, and the way he handled the question about his potentially passing Rossi under a yellow (basically told the journalist to f**k off), it doesn't give the impression of a champion.
Someone has already said it above I think; there are no winners in this situation: Rossi has almost certainly lost the championship, Marquez has lost a lot of respect from a lot of MotoGP fans, Dorna has (in my eyes) lost a lot of credibility, and Jorge's antics and attitude in the press conference do not become a world champion, past or future.
Dani had a good race though!
You should also put this in your signature for future reference "MM was knocked down" LOL
As for Rossi not racing Valencia; I don't know if the FIM would reverse their decision because of his threat but a similar tactic worked for RC during the SX "fuelgate" incident. But the final race is in Spain and if he sits out a Spaniard will take the title. I'm not sure Rossi could count on much of an attendance drop if he doesn't show as that's the only ammunition Rossi appears to have at this point to try and get a penalty modification.
When was the last time on VitalMX that a MotoGP thread had 8 pages and 16,000+ views? And it's not just isolated to Vital. The MotoGP boards, Twitter, Facebook, etc are going crazy since the incident.
Kind of confirms the Racer X article about the need for drama to keep interest high in motocross.
And in my opinion, Marquez was riding on edge with some of his passes, and if he would of took out Vale it would have ended the championship right there. So Rossi over the wreckless riding put a stop to it. Vale loses either way, but I'd rather lose in Race Direction than be wrecked at 180+. I would have done the same thing.
He's not Bruce Lee people.

I also agree that the petition is a total waste of time. The stewards don't need to see a petition to know that people will be disappointed by this decision, it's obvious, but they did what they had to do. Public opinion is not going to change their decision, it would set a very bad precedent to remove a penalty purely based on popularity
Think about the force of a 67kg man's leg from such a small movement. His leg got bumped off the peg from the 200 plus kilos hitting him from behind... not the other way around!
I don't have to justify my view of the event just because you don't agree with it.
At least I don't tell others they are tools or tool bags because I disagree with them!!!
Are you serious?!?!!??!?!?!
Disclaimer: Ive been drinking a bit
my opinion is MM got into Rossi's head, and Rossi fucked up,
as said above, drama brings attention to the sport, almost feel sorry for the yamaha management trying to keep both teams from an all out brawl in their own pits,
if Valencia was not sold out already, i bet it is now, if Rossi turns up or not,
If Rossi had just kept his mouth shut and gone about his business the way he should, then I'm sure that he wouldn't have got that kind of reaction out of Marquez
