Ridiculously light and skinny Blink

Went to the Bike show today and had a chance to sit on them back to back... and the Honda Feels the lightest. To be honest, it almost felt lighter than the other brands 250f' models just leaning it over side to side. Crazy.

I didnt Realize it had a steering damper either... till I saw it under the front number plate. Add's just the right amount of resistance to the steering, but yet the steering feels light.... pretty nice set up.

Check your email. People may get pissed if they hear how much or little I paid.

You can find one that has only a few rides on it in MN for $6400 and another one ridden once for maybe less. Look on www.armca.org and you will see a few 09 CRF450's for sale. I think one guy bought it after an injury and was not ready to ride and will have to sit on it all winter and may not ride again.. My buddy has one and when i rode it i was not too impressed over my ENZO suspended 06. Mine actually is better suspension wise and also the throttle response is SO fast on the 09 that it is hard to get used to. But it feels super light and super nice in corners plus a new bike is always fun and its so nice to start over with everything new and tight!

I am keeping mine another year cause mine would only bring about $2500 so the cost to move up 3 yrs is about $4500!

The only thing I don't get about the 09 is the exhaust underneath. Just seems destined to get banged up.

I watched a brand new 450 honda go right into our pond at our track today... Talk about a tear jerker. I cried for the guy.

Can't you just tip it over and pump the water out of the cylinder and fire it up?

In with the good air, out with the bad?

i have about 25 hours on my 09 honda and there are no dings in the header pipe. i have been riding some what rocky places as well.

the bikes are bitchen! i think they are confidence inspiring.

i think FRIDAY can attest that I am riding soo much better now on this bike.

they have some quirks though.

there are some people on this forum that can help you with set up and make the stock bike/suspension work pretty well.

The 06' - 09' YZ250 is a much better bike. Just ask MXA.

To be honest i am not sure. It was completely submerged for a while. It took a quad to get it out(hey there good for some things i guess).

3 months ago i was dying and praying for the 20 min session to be over

now i want to be the first guy on the track so i get a full 45 mins in Tongue
seriously i have ran out of gas 2x now just doing laps

the bike does not beat you up, it is so effortless to ride. i ride longer with more intensity.
At 250 lbs and no desire to "train" this bike has been the best thing for my health! Woohoo

I'm hearing mixed reports on them.

Last time I was at the Gorman track I was talking with a new owner and he wasn't happy. Last I heard on him was he sold it and went for an 09 YZ450.

My friend (Vet Pro level) has ridden two different 09 CRF450s and he says they have serious suspension issues. Really harsh. He said he heard Pro Circuit was thinking the chassis is to blame?

Well, the suspention could always be fixed....but after spending $7K on a new bike, it sucks to have to rip it apart and spend money on it to make it work.

You can't base your opinion on what other people's hear say is.. Ride the bike for yourself, then, and only then do you decide if it is good or needs some tweeking.

When are you going to test it in the United States? I mean, the least you could do is test it in Bermuda.

No, that would be the KTM 200 Smile (That's what I went back to after playing with the 4t's for a while - zero regrets!)

I had the chance to ride one. I was totally sold on buying one up to that point. After my test ride, I decided to keep my bike. I was as unimpressed with the bike after my ride as I was psyched before it. I agree, it is always a great idea to ride something if you can before you buy.
