Hmm, Townley went from retired old vet racer at LL's to superstar on the biggest stage of the year. Yeah, he got my vote. All the racer's on both sides rode great and deserve credit.

BT101 hands down, to come from the couch to hang with the best in the world, all of who have just ended a full season of racing is amazing, and to do it on a bike he had to borrow, that probably was closer to stock than a factory ride is just bad ass!

Townley for sure. I'm not sure if I want him to just drop the mike and walk away for good or saddle up and come back over.

Musquin was overcoming physical and mental hurdles. I don't know other riders circumstances coming in, but he was fantastic given everything on his mind.

Much respect for Townley. More as a man than as a racer. And full props to him as a racer. Thanks for the link jamma.

Another vote for BenTownley. I would say that was his swan song but that crusty old bastard will probably come back at some big event and blow our minds again.

Townley was great , and it was fun to see him where he belongs... but impressive... Marvin just killing that 250 running with the best 450s on very steep terrain , just hucking it over stuff. It was pretty crazy.

Townley turned up and owned it, , travelled the furthest, rode a bike that he had never seen, half his kit got lost by the airline and only just tunred up, a top 10 would have been impressive under those conditions, , a 6-2 for 3rd in MX1, is just amazing,

well done bro, you deserve a DB,

Really though BT was pretty awesome and Febvre continues to impress... He's the next big thing in mxgp.

I don't think you guys how far out of reality Townley's ride was. It's not like he's racing full time even in NZ. He's done a few Nationals here in Oz and there too, sparse at best, and his speed was the same.

Then just comes out and smashes everyone bar the World Champ?

So many great rides on the day, how could you pick just one?

Marvin's speed and line choices in the first moto had me in awe against....
Barcia, who always brings his A game to the Des Nations.
Webb, in only his second weekend racing the 450 beat most of the best guys in the world.
Townley, who showed he hasn't lost his speed. Yeah, it was a surprise, but it should't be because they guy has always been fast.

Who is your most impressive rider of the weekend?

Febvre with his total dominance?
Townley running up front?
Musquin mixing it on his 250?

Musquins first moto was amazing. Fastest lap of the day, the way he was picking up his front wheel over obstacles. Was an absolute blast to watch

But my vote goes to Townley by far! IMO only because no one saw it coming, that was really impressive! and it wasnt just one freak moto.
He hmmm...I was sprouting watch out for him. That track suited him. So technical. Bam bam with his hold it in style on that track gets 2nd

Febvre, he powned everyone all weekend long, and I had never even heard of him until 3 months ago.

Townley. I wasn't expecting much out of him since he's semi-retired. Great rides, all weekend long. 2nd in the qualifier, 6th in Moto 1, 2nd in Moto 2 (keeping the world champ honest). BT is a legend.

you almost have to say townley just because its unexpected. it would have been nice to see what he was capable of w/o all the injuries.i could almost see AC end up like him if things don't change soon

A whole host of guys were in top form but Townley was on it. So solid, give that guy a full ride!

Given his meteoric rise this year to not only win MXGP but win the USGP and then totally dominate all facets of the weekend it is Febvre. Barcia, Muquin, Webb and Townley would come next in my book but Romain made it look too damn easy!
