Milestone is proud to announce MXGP2

Milestone is proud to announce MXGP2 – The Official Motocross Videogame, scheduledfor launch in february 2016 on Xbox One®, the all-in-one games and entertainment system, PlayStation®4, and Windows PC®/STEAM™.

A pulsating mechanical heart, powered by petrol and immersed in dust and mud, forged in the flames of the furnaces of master mechanics – the sound of the engine roaring in your helmet – the vibrations of the bike, every judder and jolt felt by players around the world, clutching their gamepads: these are the concepts guiding the development team working on the new chapter of the videogame series dedicated to one of the most adrenalin-charged, competitive, and spectacular two-wheel motorsports out there.
The stars of this new title are the riders, the teams, and the circuits of the 2015 season that have kept spectators glued to their screens and on the edges of their seats right up to Romain Febvre clinching the world title at the Netherlands MXGP on 30 August. As if that weren’t enough, MXGP2 ups the stakes: the game covering the 2015 season brings a breath of fresh air, along with a blast of exhaust fumes, with the introduction of vehicle and rider customisation, indoor arena events, and much, much more. MXGP2 will ensure players keep one hand ready on the throttle, placing them firmly at the centre of the videogame experience.

The career mode is present and correct, alongside on-line and off-line modes to challenge players and push their gamepads to the limits, right up to the ultimate test: winning the title of undisputed Motocross champion, standing shoulder to shoulder and riding bar to bar with leading names in international Motocross racing, like Ryan Villopoto and eight-time world champion Tony Cairoli.

Luisa Bixio, the VP at Milestone, says “Motocross is a thrilling and spectacular sport, bringing together a dynamic, enthusiastic community of fans, who are always ready to share their ideas for new features and ideas with us.” She continues, “After our experience with MXGP, and its positive reception from critics and fans alike, we got to work on developing MXGP2. The passion that the development team working on the game are putting into every detail, and the expertise they have built up working on titles for the current generation of consoles, allows us to create a product that will satisfy the needs of all Motocross fans.” Luisa Bixio concludes by inviting “everybody to warm up your engines, and get ready for an adrenalin-charged and passion-driven experience.”

In development at Milestone studios in Italy, MXGP2 – The Official Motocross Videogame is scheduled for a february 2016 launch on Xbox One, PlayStation®4 and Windows PC®/STEAM™.

Yes! This is the best game in motocross right now. Sorry Rainbow Studios, I was a big time fan of yours for a long time but Milestone got it right with the current MXGP game. The physics/animations in the air are not great but the first person view and manual gearbox is best in class and when you play in first person how the bike/rider look in the air doesn't matter than much anyways.

I'm really hoping there is 2 strokes. I'm pretty sure I heard one in that trailer.. And better in air physics and of course a clutch.

Thank god for no PS3 and Xbox 360.

The optimal situation would be an entire new version for PC, the fact is that the "new" gen consoles are kind of shitty.

But i will buy the game for the PC, that's for sure! Go Milestone!

All of you who say that MXGP is and MXGP2 will be the best mx game is dead wrong. You guys have to take a look at MxSim, that's where it's at. MXGP doesn't even come close to being real.

Well guess what? Mxsim isn't for consoles, making mxgp/2 the best Moto game available to the masses. And the GAME doesn't need to "come close to being real" as mxsim. The game just needs to replicate real life physics better than its predecessor did, and improve the graphics as well as keeping it enjoyable with lots of variety in skill level

I'd rather have it be fun than realistic.

Well this news got me excited this evening. MXGP sure wasn't the super TOP game but casual it was very fun. And past years even some people have created MODS for it for the PC version with newer skins and more competitive AI so it sure has been a blast.

All is up to the game studio now, from MUD THE GAME to MXGP they improved massively, if they can repeat this improvement on MXGP2 it will be one of the best mx games we've ever seen.

Ofcourse we can wait for the game still rockin mx-sim. New Monster Energy Cup track and MXON tracks are comming up in the near future so that'll be fun Smile

It will be released to US and Europe at the same time, no delay like last year. Thank you very much milestone! You guys are doing a great job.

Better AI is the only real request I have. It's not perfect but as MX games go, MXGP got a lot of things right.

Love mxgp, only thing I wish is if there were more tracks. I think they have the physics good and the graphics were good in my opinion. I only hope that they don't take a step backwards like mx vs atv did when making alive. Sweet Jesus that was the biggest waste of money.

Hope they added various weather conditions, smarter AI, tougher competition, clutch and better looking riding style. SX is no priority for me, but will be a nice add.

MXSimulator is a dying game(because a horrible/selfish community). I took 15 months off MXS and "returned" and the game was exactly the same. The only difference was that some of the content creators had got some crazy idea and started charging a lot of money for models/skins even tracks.

Checkerz(Chris from Race Tech) is one of the few top creators in MXS that understands that a game like MXS will not develop if content creators start charging money for content. Donations are the right way to do it.

I REALLY hope Milestone takes a leap forward with MXGP2. The first MXGP game was a really good first MX game(i won't count MUD) for them.

I agree with most of what you said. However, I would not say MXS is dying. It has sold 8k copies since mid-2013. But it had only sold 10k from release to 2013. So if anything it has grown at a steady rate. The community does seem to have a large amount of immature individuals though. Which does not help the reputation of the Sim community.

"Minecraft graphics"

It doesn't have top tier graphics. But to put the graphics on the same level as Minecraft is a terrible comparison.

True, the thing is the amount of copies aren't that relevant. My UID is 2779 and the game/community was better at that time. Way more quality content back in the day.(this is just my own opinion though!)

But year the game is not dead but the MXS community is in a bad shape. I still play the game, mostly offline and i enjoy it but the forums are a mess and it's really unfortunate.

Not sure what you're trying to prove there. You're using a stock bike skin for one, which is a no no. I guess you just didn't really put any research into how to improve the graphics?

All I want is a reworked version of Reflex with new graphics and a few tweaks. The game was partly broken but the racing scene on PC was awesome. The eMc league/races every weekend was a blast!
