If it is a good flowing one where they can all get thru consistently then USA has a great shot.
If it is a U turn or such where they will stack up then it is anybody's race.
Though I don't see it as a disadvantage for one or the other.
Less than two weeks children.
As for the USA's chances, pretty damn good. Barcia always delivers in the MXdN and the team's usually lucky!
As for the USAs chances, they always have a great shot at every mxdn they turn up at.
Pit Row
Now that I think about maybe it was just one guy who explained away his split personality by saying it was his brother that was so gnarly. All I know is the guy who posted pictures of shredded bodies on Motonews and then copped an attitude when yosmithy deleted them was a total wanker. The guy I defended his right t believe in creationism seem okay even if we didn't share the same philosophy on the history of the universe
Regarding our chances I would say they're as good as they've been the last three years.
The only thing that is different to other years, is that on paper there are only 2 more teams that will be able to fight for the win - France and GB. Teams that were in the mix the last few years like Belgium, Germany and Italy are clearly not that good as the years before.
Maybe Australia can spoil the party a little bit this year.
Be damm interesting to see what the results of the USA riders are compared the euros in the 250 class at this weekend usgp
...
Van Horebeek: top 5 in his class every day of the week.
Lieber: has at least one top 5 moto in him, especially at a track like Ernee
De Dycker: Can either win the moto or finish 20th.
Pretty strong odds for a podium I'd say.
I say France wins, USA second, Belgium third.
Jvh and Simpson are about equal
Anstie beats Lieber
Wilson probably beats big Ken
That's why GB is my third pick
In general, it's always the same 4 countries who have chance of winning or getting podiums: USA, Belgium, France, and GB. Countries like Italy and Germany depend too much on wether guys like Cairoli, Nagl and Roczen are in shape. Netherlands have a good future coming up if Herlings and Coldenhoff stay fit and Pootjes will get better. The Aussies need a major pilot again like Reed in his best days. Waters and Ferris are very good, but they miss that tiny percent to win a race. Top 5 this year would be a major succes for them. In a few years I even see the Swiss taking the trophy home, when Guillod, Seewer and Tonus are fit.
the last 6 months or so:-
- simpson has beaten van hoerbeek consistently (beating him in the championship comfortably)- they have been close, but simpson has the edge
- anstie has smoked lieber (winning most races and a long way infront of him in the championship)
then you've got ken, who has been out for most of the season injured- vs dean Wilson, who has been out for most of the season. Deans been back on a bike longer. Dean has shown top 5 speed in ama since coming back and had top 10 overalls. Kens done nothing yet!!
Both of them are capable of good results - I would LOVE to see ken have a good des nations and win a moto, it might be his swan song at that level. I don't think he has many more years left getting good rides in mx1 after not putting in many good results for a long time
not saying its impossible. But I would put GB as 2nd or 3rd favourites this year. Belgian 4th- based on results and form!!! france strong favourites with America 2nd favourites (it will be close between us and them in my opinion)
its our year this year!
it's just that, and I mean no offence to anyone, but GB has been hyped for years and they've yet to really "do it". I wish you guys all the best and in all honesty, I hope you either win or at least beat France
I'm most excited for Anstie's performance really, he's had the strangest season I've ever witnessed.
