I don't know for sure but it seems like WSP got a lot of kids the last few times I raced wincester, maybe? Can't say for sure though

Gazzo, Lee here, I've been wondering about you for years. Of course I grew up chasing you around the NEMA tracks like Lunenburg, Loudon, and Waterboro. I still remember you getting a top ten in one of your first NESC Expert races, which at the time was huge as there were regularly full gates back then. I remember following you off that Lunenburg quad and for a while being the only other rider to do it. Of course I had a sleeved down full floater at the time so what you did on a stock framed yz100 was in another league. Still, was a big leap for the time!

Lee so good to hear from you!!!! My god it has been forever. God i remember having to qualify for the 250 experts in NESC to make the show!!! I miss the days of racing so bad. Turned 50 and finally said enough is enough and got another bike. Just getting it back in shape and plan on racing NESC and JDay events. I have kept in shape but not motocross shape... Lol To different animals!!! Hope to see you at one of these events... I follow Poacher on Twitter and saw your ride in Colorado.. Totally unreal. Well so good to hear from you. And yes that Yamaha took a beating. The first time i did that jump i was on a twin shocked RM 100. Ya they were Fox air shocks though... lol Ya we are old Smile

Graham was the local rider that i wanted to be like when i first started NEMA. He was riding 80's and the open 105 class. I remember Ronnie Web from NY on a yamaha as well.

I don't remember Graham from NEMA. But when I was racing 125 amateur in NESC I used to watch Graham racing the expert classes and fear the day that I turned expert. Back then, any new hot shoe got a nice 'welcome' to the expert class and it was often Graham who did the giving.

Then one day, I was leading a moto in Waterboro, and my bike lost all power. If I held it wide open it would still run but couldn't make it up the hills. Later we found out it burned a hole in the piston. Anyhow, Graham was announcing the moto. I was the points leader at the time so I had to finish. I literally pushed my bike up all the hills for the remainder of the moto and finished twentieth earning one point. At the finish Graham had rushed down to shake my hand and tell me what a great job I had done to finish. I turned expert the next week, and the best part of it all to me was that I had earned Graham's respect so I didn't get the feared welcome to the class.

I hoped that one point would be significant to the championship, but in the end I won by sixty or so points. But for the way I've tried to live my life, that one point was the most significant thing of all.

Jojo welcomed me to the expert class, cleaned me out when he lapped me, and he had a huge lead, and we were buddies!

Its crazy that I came across this sight looking to see if NEMA was still around. My name is Gary Catalfamo. My 2 sons Corey and Darren raced with you guys in the 80s . I was vise president under Dan Newton as president. Brings back alot of good time memories. I still have contact with John Wood and Jeremy Antonuck.

I'd love to go walk the old Lunenburg track if anyone knows the address of where it was. I was too young to remember where exactly it was, but the track and the pits left an indelible mark on my memory. I'm sure it's all grown over, or even developed, but for whatever reason I would really like to go see it for myself....
