Suzuki Team bikes stolen

Last night 2 of our GC259 bikes were stolen from our team van at a hotel in Thionville France! Bike 1: GC-001-S (frame-nr) was fitted with engine NZ14-105-5. Bike 2: NZ14-001-S with engine NZ14-101-S.

Who ever can give us the the golden tip to find these bikes will be rewarded with a brand new 2016 Suzuki RM-Z 450.

Those bikes will be impossible to sell, i think they will find them rather quickly.

That's a fair reward !

If the thieves are anything like here the bikes will be sold easily, they won't be raced for some time of course, if at all and certainly not at any national level.

Considering the one doesn't have a serial number, and the frame is identified as CG (as in his initials) 001..... I'm going to say it's full on unobtainium

Considered the reward they probably are. The dutch bulletin says they are factory bikes.

Keep in mind GC259 rides the 2015 model factory bike as opposed to the 2016 factory bike Strijbos and Desalle ride.

if you park up outside a hotel , with bikes in the back of a van , anywhere, don't expect them to be there in the morning .

Someone knows where these bikes are going, the other day I woke up to 26 stolen bikes on my FB feed..

Wasn't like this before ebay

Makes getting anything large out of the van near impossible.

One would think the teams would utilize some sort of RFID unit or another type of tracking device on the bikes for just this kind of issue.

Use proper locks and fix them down inside.

This theft is worth £50k? More perhaps?

I could imagine each bike alone is worth that. Such a shame to hear about the theft.

With the amount of scum lurking these days, it's wise to take no chances. Better to lock something up like it's in Fort Knox than to risk anything.

FYI, Your buddies roommates cousin is the only one willing to work long hours and odd days for less than minimum wage.

It's another lock that you bolt to the van doors to stop undesirable people from breaking in. Just have to type 'van lock' into Google and you should get plenty of results.
