I made 2 separate lists, 1 with Martin taking #13 and 1 without him taking it. I also didn't factory in Savatgy & Anderson who will both be getting career numbers, furthermore this list will change a little after Indiana. But it does give a rough look at what numbers most of the guys will be running in 2016.

Yeah, I'm not sure if he's going to petition the AMA like Pourcel did or not. But if he continues his 250 SX only program he's going to have to deal with getting numbers in the 40's or 50's.

Sounds like the riders are starting to find out their numbers for next year. As AC has posted he will be #45 and T-Hahn has posted he will be #48.

Few questions.
Where does Cooper Webb fall on this list?
Also who is going to have #19?

Nick Wey didn't have the best year. I would assume that he doesn't get to keep #27

Nick Wey didn't have the best year. I would assume that he doesn't get to keep #27
Webb's career # is 17.
Bogle's career # is 19.
Wey gets to keep 27.

Maybe I missed it somewhere but how was Pourcel able to keep 377? I'm sure Hansen would want to try the same, however Pourcel was able to pull that off.

Pourcel earned a career # and choose 377. And petitioned to keep it.

Josh Hansen has not earned a career # so I believe he will have to run a double digit # next year. But it would not surprise me if some how he gets to keep #100.

Hate the permanent number system. SX number should be where they placed prior year in SX. MX number should be where they placed prior year in MX. The 2 sports have nothing to do with each other and should be kept separate. Governing bodies don't allow the riders to sell direct to the public at the events so there is zero marketing reason to have permanent numbers. Riders moving up or coming back from a year off get to choose the lowest 3 digit number available. This ain't nascar folks.

I almost completely agree. Just top ten though, after that the slower less-known guy should pick and choose, that way the less informed can kind of pick a few numbers, get to Kinda know them, and follow along a bit more

I think there should be a rule where if you don't score top 10 overall for three seasons in a row then you lose your career number, rather than just scoring 25 points. For example, Chisholm isn't at the level anymore to be running #11 (sorry to call him out specifically), but he scores enough points to keep the number. With the new rule, he can run that number for a few years to still have that "trademark look", but if he fails to continue to run that level he will eventually need to return to the old number system. You guys understand what I'm saying?

If I was a team owner I'd want a number as low as possible. Regardless of what number Savatgy picks it's a high number. It's funny to because some of the 250 team owners lobbied to have 250 sx points count towards numbers.

Even worse just say your a Pieck (non jgr Pieck lol) or Noren and have a break through year and maybe crack the top 15 for overall national numbers... so when trying to pick up outside sponsorship you have to explain why you finished here but have to run a much higher number.

There are so many career numbers that unless you get a national title or 450 sx title, your screwed for getting a decent number, such a bummer for the younger guys. I really hope they do away with this system.
