Hi Folks

As motorcycle enthusiasts, and especially off-road fans, I wanted to let all of you know that Malcolm Smith's new autobiography, titled Malcolm! The Autobiography, is now available. Books will arrive at Malcolm's shop at the end of next week (they are in port now), and pre-ordered books will then be singed by Malcolm and mailed asap. Some of you who pre-ordered have asked me where things stand, and I wanted to let everyone here know the scoop.

The book, which is 400 pages, hardbound and 11 x 11 inches, took us quite a bit longer to finish than we expected 30 months ago when we started. But as Malcolm says, "better late than never." He wants all of you to know how much he appreciates your patience, and he's sure you'll all love the book. It really is an amazing read, with over 100,000 words worth of stories on all aspects of Malcolm's amazing life and career, and hundreds of photos from his personal archive, many of them never seen before by the public. Folks who've seen and read the few copies we had air-freighted to us are astounded how good and in-depth it is.

Anyway, thanks for letting me update everyone on the book. For those that haven't ordered, you can do so through Malcolm's store (malcolmsmith.com) or at the book's site, which is themalcolmbook.com.

Thanks,

Mitch Boehm

It's about time. What took so long? Been hearing about this book and the release date was pushed back many times.

Didn't mean to be a smart ass by saying " it's about time" but seriously, it is. I've been wanting to read it. Will it ever be available through Barnes and noble, or any other national bookstore chain?

Thanks again, I'm so looking forward to it's arrival.

Seriously how would you be able to write this book and keep it under 10 thousand pages?

An auto biography with George Washington would be the equivalent.

Gonna be a great Christmas present for someone to give me.

Mitch,

Is it just the pre-ordered books that get signed, or can you still get a signed copy?

Thanks,

Brian

I worked for Malcolm from 1972 thru 76. What an amazing time & experience it was. Cheers Malcolm. Can't wait to read the book. Wishing you all the best.

Hey, everyone...

I'll try to answer all the questions here.

Books are in port and will be delivered to Malcolm's shop at the end of next week. Which means, if you pre-ordered a book online, you'll be the first to get your book, probably the week after that, as Malcolm will sign and ship those first.

A note about signatures: If you ordered before July 31st, the website clearly stated you'd get a signed copy. On that date, the signature incentive stopped, and the wording about signed copies came off the site. Malcolm is 74, and there were many more signatures that we expected, so we had to cut it off at some point or his hand would fall off. You can still order books from the themalcolmbook.com website, just not a signed copy. Of course, there will be opportunities to get your book signed; at Barber in October, at the AIM show in Orlando, also in October, and at the So Cal launch in September at Malcolm's shop.

Finally, someone asked about Barnes and Noble. You can buy the book online from Malcolm at the above-mentioned website, in person at Malcolm's shop in Riverside, or also at your local dealer, who will be able to get it from Tucker Rocky in about a month. If your dealer doesn't have it, ask him to order a few.

Thanks for the interest, and please yell if you have any other questions.

Mitch

My dad and I met him about a month before we saw the original On Any Sunday. As they showed his face on the screen we both said, :"HEY! thats the guy from that motorcycle shop!

Thanks for the book update.

Dont buy this linked book. Its title is deceptive
