3rd and I still spun like a top fuel dragster on the concrete gate. I have to remember to barely be above idle.

Had a killer day on this yesterday!




This might not be the best bike on the market right now but is much better than my 07 crf450. I was killing some of my buddies that usually own me so it wasn't just that I felt faster, I was faster! I'm in love!!! The harder I pushed the better it handled! I didn't know dirtbikes could turn like this, wow!

Indeed, but it's not all that uncommon with CR500's. It's usually the same routine where a larger guy wants to get into dirt biking and thinks 125's are for kids, 250's are okay, but 500's are for grown ups. Then they proceed to scare the shit out of themselves, or hurt themselves, and park it. All I did do the bike was install new tires, chain & sprockets, and give it a good cleaning. I don't wish to discuss it's demise, but let's just say that I'm definitely going to hell for what I did to it.

Shit, I wish it were only that. I shouldn't have posted it, because it really does make me sad. It's the kind of bike you keep forever, but alas I was too dumb. Anyway, I'll definitely have another smoker someday. There was a super clean '91 YZ250 on CL recently for something like $1300, but it got scooped up quick.

So today I was at the 2015 edition of the Kungurri Hillclimb in Mackay North QLD and I saw this... there are always interesting bikes every year but this thing took the cake. Its named Kungurri Krackhead and its pretty in yer face...

Well, that owner has a different take on style and 'bling'.......

Stuck on a phone screen at the moment, so I can't see clearly what appears to be a whole lot of extra welds on the swingarm. Somewhat strange. I got persuaded by a mate to do another conversion, that I'm just finishing up now. As usual, the previous owner had no concept of maintenance and had allowed the chain to saw into the lower side of the swingarm bearing housing (daylight showing into the thrust bearing / seal area - some pricks should not be allowed to have machinery) that I had to repair, but all those extra welds and, perhaps plating on this thing??????

I don't do AFs for people now, for some time - I just encourage them to do as much for themselves, so it really is a bike (that, at least, is partially) built by themselves. This current one I only agreed to do because it's for a bloke I have enormous time for , and I thought the CP conversions kit he got would be good. Cripes, it's the usual, half assed pieces / ideas done by so many conversion parts suppliers. I've spent so much time re-doing things properly that I should have done a full cradle replacement of my own - why these people can't do things well, is always a bit strange to me. Still ,it's many times better than the MPS disasters - how they are still in business, is beyond belief.

Nice ride, loving the lectron carb & cone piple. Pretty sure thats the only rm I have seen with a hydro clutch..
