Which is the best event in moto and why The MXON,the monster cup,or Straight rhythm

I have to say MEC because the stakes are raised, there are different things to test the riders(joker lane,split start,etc.), and you also get to watch the Amatuers shred a SX track,what is not to love?

Have to agree that I like the MEC as well. Instead of the Superminis racing; would like to see something else in it's place. Perhaps a two stroke race? Hmmm....a run-what-you-brung race, 125, 250, whatever. Basically, have the guys that make the night program at a SX race but not always make the mains, they could race it. Just an idea.

Have to agree that the MEC is my favorite off season race. This would be great to break up typical racing and just see how fast someone could ride a sx track. Lets call it the Monster Energy Zig-Zag Rhythm!

2) Red Bull Straight Rhythm - I like the aggression that comes from a point-to-point, head-to-head race.

3) Monster Cup - To me, it's just the Vegas Supercross with a couple more gimics.

I've had some of the best weekends of my life @ MXdN's & have been to allot of them but going to 'Merica for the 1st time this year and got tickets for MEC so I'll pass comment in a few months!

I agree Harry, I think the minis should be eliminated from this event. I know these kids want to race it, but they sure carried a few off the track last year, and that 1 poor kid looked like he got hurt pretty bad!!!

MX Des N is the best. nothing better than racing for the Flag.

MEC. I think its the best SX race all year. In fact i wouldnt mind seeing the main series adopt at least a 2 moto format. race for 10 min +2 laps? and maybe even a joker lap too but maybe thats something that works best with a spotter.
***I would also like to see 125s instead of superminis and instead of a schoolboy 250f class make it a pro am 250f race that could double as a SX license qualifier.

and the straight rhythm is great too.

really its hard to pick one. Vs every other race during the year these are very unique and different from the main races that i would rather watch these than your standard SX race. Heck ALL the off season SX races i feel are better than the normal SX

MEC is the most exciting for unpredictability. The Motocross Des Nations is the most honorable race of the year, and I usually buy some Red Bulls and stay up watching all of the races (even if I'm up til 8am haha). I love the history of the race, so that's my favorite of the year. And the Red Bull Straight Rhythm is cool, but is a pain in the ass to shoot photos at! If you want a different angle it's such a long walk!

The MXDN and MEC are my two favorites. The MXDN is rich in tradition and national pride, but the tv coverage just flat sux! The MEC is the new kid on the block and keeps getting better. I personally enjoy the format as well as the Supermini's and "amateurs". Nothing like getting a glimpse of the future.
When I was a kid, the USGP was a huge event also. But now, hardly any AMA riders race it.
