They mentioned drama behind the scenes during the race. Does anybody know what the situation is? Didn't KR94 have bike related(set up) issues last year as well? He mentioned his bike worked only OK after podium interview.

I think it's safe to assume that both sides figured this year would be more successful and neither are satisfied. Whenever that is the case, friction is not uncommon. Seems like par for the course. I'm sure they will get it figured out.

When does his contract run out? Shame things aren't working out for him as he seemed well suited to the team, but hey, there's nothing to say he won't bounce back soon.

This time next year I'm sure the tone will be very different.

Someone is leaving.. Not sure who.

Oh, and I wonder how the 500K vehicle recall may possibly affect their RAM sponsorship.

I don't think there's a lack of funding or possible funding in that team, do you?

Ken started the year on the back foot, still isn't corrected and things just haven't gone their way but it's not been terrible, the way some conversations go you'd think from the outside this is a failing effort.....

He's going to KTM Factory Services not the race team...

All I can say, is RCH ponied up a ton of cash for two titles this year. All that cash means a ton of expectations on the athlete. When expectations aren't met-regardless of the reason-blame starts to get thrown around. When blame starts to get thrown around, tensions rise...

If Roczen won the SX title, and was leading the points right now...everything at RCH would be great.

EDIT: This assumes that there really IS tension at RCH. For all I know that's just a rumor and things are great there.

They provide engine and suspension support to teams and the general public

I think the reason stated for the change is that he was tired of the travel and missing his family.

Of course, politicians also say that they want "time with family" when things don't work out too. So who knows.

Its all about the neck tatts, KRoc has none and its causing friction with management and a sponsor (Ram). When you think of dirt bikes, Ram trucks and an extreme sportsman what's the first image that comes to mind?Smile

In all seriousness, its been a laundry list of bad luck. When that much stuff happens it manifests itself in everyone getting a little bitchy, there's a lot at stake so you have appreciate frustration. He rode really well in moto 2 yesterday, lady luck has just been kicking him in the balls as of late but everything will be fine

He will be fine after Supercross starts.

It seems as though people forget about him coming out and winning his first race on the new team. The guy was looking to dominate from the start. Then a series of bad luck has pushed him back.

Don't know what the big deal is; he has won races for them indoors and out. To me, this stuff is blown all out of proportion. Sure he will work on being healthy and ready to win next year, and I mean contending for titles, not just race wins.

What comes first....the chicken or the egg?

Does Ken like his bike and start winning or does he start winning and likes his bike?

Is he chasing setting because he isn't winning or is he not winning because he's chasing settings?

Say it whichever way you want.....

Bottom line is it's been a tough year for Ken on many different front. New bike, new team, new trainer....

The good news is this all gets fixed if he starts winning again!!

Well, from looking at the team's results from Unadilla, one would have to surmise that it costs a lot more for a 5th place finish than a 6th place finish O/A...Wink

Regardless of the "tension" with KRoc, I hope Broc gets a nice raise next year.

I don't think everyone is calling Kenny's tenure with RCH a failure by common standards, I believe that is the way the RCH team views this year. When you're expecting to win, anything shorter is failure.

You can see a noticeable difference demeanor in Ken's attitude on the podium this year. That leads me to suspect there is a lot going on behind the scenes.

I'd say no one's expectations have been met, and the amount of coin shelled out for said expectations is weighing heavily on everyone. Also, I don't really understand what an infection on the adams apple is, is that a sore throat, strep throat, bad poon, or something lost in translation? I googled "adams apple infection" and "infection on adams apple," as he said on the podium and there was nothing....

I'm pretty sure, but not 100%, that it was 2 years.

Things happen (injuries, adapting to a new bike, bike setup, etc...) to where their are many variables involved. KR94 swore he liked the bike, but I'm sure the new environment (RCH) was a lot to get used to after so many years with KTM/Decoster. I don't know what the environment is like at RCH, Carmichael might be really hard to work for, in regards to expectations. Once the injuries came about, probably set a sour tone over there. They should have been happy with winning races finally. With Roczen, the championships will come IMO.

The egg has to come from somewhere. Is the first chicken the one who hatches from the egg or the first bird who evolves to drop chicken eggs as a form of birth?

Somewhere in there is an answer to what's going on at RCH.

Perhaps the alleged discord within RCH doesn't have anything to do with KR. Perhaps there is a 'culture rub' (counter-culture vs. conventional) or simply a case of two successful owners with VERY different personal and business styles whom have grown tired of compromising for the other party. Or---perhaps it is none of the above. There is, however, smoke rising from the RCH camp, whatever the source. Bet the team management roster looks different next year. One guy in the organization will rise to power.

Ken and RCH will be fine, right now there is probably some tension(why wouldn't there be,everyone wants results, but it is being blown out of proportion.)by A2 next year, everyone will be happy.
