It would be interesting to know which members race and what class you race in. I think its interesting to see the comments for some people on whether they know from experience or if they are good at studying and analyzing (like technique, what have you).

I personally race Pro/AA on the east coast and Sportsman A in the GNCC's. I'm pretty washed up but did well back in the day.

What class do you race or do you even race?

I race cross country in the second to slowest class and I can finish in the top 5 on a good day. I'm slow as $#!t. FML.

C class racer here, I am nothing special, I race because I enjoy the adrenaline rush of being on the line, banging bars, gettin after it, and I also revel in the opportunitys to get to ride on national tracks thanks to Davey Coombs and his crew that put on the amateur events!! I grew up in a dirt track racing family, the competitiveness I have is something that was already in my blood, by the time I was old enough to race cars (I raced dirt track go carts) it just got too expensive, even having a street stock car is just crazy money. I rode dirt bikes throughout my youth until about the time I was 17 then it was on to cars and a drivers license. I bought another bike when I was 28 (an 01 KTM 250 sx) and I haven't looked back, I am getting better every time I swing a leg over, having gone from that KTM to an 09 Yamaha yz450f, and now I have a 2014 yz250f, it is the first bike I have ever bought brand new, I love it , turning is my Achilles heal, although I have gotten much much better at riding ruts lol. All in all I just enjoy having fun and riding /racing has kept me out of trouble.

The oldest B-class offered.
At a well-attended track, like Millville, I do both 55B and 60+.

Some tracks only offer 30B and 40B, so those, too.

I race to the fridge to get beer making braapp sounds, does that count? I'm pretty well a pro at it.

used to be decent back in the day, then I started riding again about 7 years ago until I knocked myself out. I had just started a business, decided it would probably be a good time to hang up the boots. besides my kid was getting ready to start smoking me and I always told my wife I'd quit when the kids could beat me

I race the 30+B class for both motocross and hare scrambles. I used to go ok as well until I had to take 3-4 years off from riding basically and my speed went to crap. I still love riding and racing both though.

I was only a local C rider when I bent my foot in half, went and did practices only after that. I just can't be out of work like that anymore.

Just turned 40 this year so it's 30B and 40B for me. I'm not that good and will probably never progress beyond where I am. I'm usually outside the top 3 but in the top 3rd of the pack. This has been a bad year for me full of blown up bikes and minor injuries but I'm usually at the races every weekend from April to November and typically I love it, just not this year..

I have not done much racing in the last year due to buying a new business,

we dont have groups for vet racing here, so ill race 35 plus and normally run about top 5-10 depending on who's there, , some events only have plus 40 so ill race Support there, which is what we call out B class, i was racing our National (A) class till about 5 years ago, and i think i even did a round of the NZ 125 champs in 2010, but did not score any points,

+40, only hit up a couple of races each year at tracks that have good soil and get a decent turnout. Have tracks close by that only get 3-5 riders in my class and wont go to those races as don't find it very fun to race with that few people, I remember the days when the classes I signed up for had to be split into two divisions due to entries...

Master B (50+) Hare Scrambles in the FTR series. I try to hit all 15 races.

This season, I plan to hit 2-3 GNCC's as well.

uncle won the sunshine series at dade city in 81/82. i started racing there in 86. Did you use to bust out motos in the front pit at Croom? I know I did. Still the sandiest patch of real estate on the planet.

i don't race anymore, but if i were to go sign up it would be +30A or VetA in the desert

Sportsman in mountainbiking, but i don't know how they come up with the classes and there's a huge gap between classes in my opinion. much larger gap than in local motocross.

+30 and +40...

I race 6-8x a season.

Out of action for likely the remainder of the year because the wife just had twins and they seem to be consuming most of my free time...I did try racing one weekend shortly after the they were born but with the lack of sleep I was barely able to finish 4 laps Laughing

I bought a bike when my youngest son was born in hopes of getting back into it. That definitely didn't happen. I don't what the hell I was thinking, haha
