We just uploaded some helmet cam footage from the FMF Two-Stroke race at Mammoth Mountain. I stuck the camera with Ryan Surratt, as he had to chase down Sean Collier on his KX500 and make the pass. Even better yet, we posted the entire moto. Wink Enjoy.

That was damn cool right there. Reminds me of a good battle I had back in 05/06 during one of my first motos down there. Sure do miss going to that place every year.

shit was sick. I loved the lines sean was taking, but you could see the 500 was tougher to attack than the yz was.

Cool video, would love to see what that KX500 motor could do in a modern chassis. Where are the KTM's at? I thought they were light years ahead of the KX and YZ in development. Whistling

I like how surratt was doing everything he could to stay out from behind collier that 500 was throwing those rocks hard.
I would like to see a lap time between this and the 85 video

Ryan Surratt Lap times, same day, (Day 2) they were @ different times, per class order & I hate this but...

That wasn't ours on him, I think it was his personal one for Fasthouse. Plus, his must have not been tight because it was pointing straight up after the second lap. Laughing

Wow, great video! Surratts' ability to ride that bike, in the meat of his blue power band, was a treat to watch and/or listen to. Although, and I could be wrong as I often am, but it almost sounded like his clutch was slipping in the later part of the moto.

Finally, if Surratt wouldn't have let off the gas so early in the first turn (and wait so long to get back on it), perhaps he could have wired it?! If you don't remember it that well go back and watch him through the first turn.
